Looking into the Sig P226 Legion for my first handgun after moving to NJ. Anyone have any experience with them and also are they fully state complaint or is modification needed? Any advice is appreciated

I have the Sig P226 Legion SAO, and I love it. The smooth trigger and the almost non-existent reset are remarkable. Being SAO it has an ambidextrous thumb safety that is firm, but can be disengaged that requires extremely limited effort. One of may favorite to shoot. Be sure to get the one with 10-round capacity magazines. Good luck and enjoy it.

  3. I just picked her up, and can't wait to shoot this beast. She is a cannon w/14+1 45acp 230g cannonballs. Feels great in the hands. A very well made gun. You can't complain about the price when it includes 4/14 rd extended mags.

  4. Nice choice on the TTT. I've had mine for around 5 years and it has treated me well. I too changed out the grips - went with carbon fiber on mine.

Those are really nice grips. Who makes them?

  5. I love my 1911's. There are some beauties here as well.

I am not thrilled with them either. I've ordered new grips for her.

    Very sweet. Congrats

    Thank you!

  8. Hey all, forgive me if this topic is a dead horse. I looked and couldn't find anything that would've answered my concerns here.

I have one permit left that expires in July. Do/should I wait until I use the last permit before applying for additional? It took over 4 1/2 months for my FID and 3 permits that I ordered simultaneously.

Can someone explain why I would need another mental health check outside of this state, since it was already done during my initial FID application? I can understand checking here in NJ. But, the previous addresses were already checked.

Thanks for your time and replies.

  9. A local cop visited my property one day. Someone reported gunfire and was nervous about it. Also, said made his dog go crazy. Cop shrugged his shoulders. He then looked at where I was shooting and gave me the thumbs up. Said he was going to speak to the complainant and state it is being done safely on private property. The property ends along a mountain. I also a couple of tall mounds between the targets and mountain. Cop was really pleasant and cordial with me.

  10. nice pickup

    hows the trigger on it?

I have gone through approx. 150 rd and it has an awesome trigger. Now, I am far from an expert; actually, I am a beginner, but have done tons of research on handguns and AR's. The reset is pretty much non-existent. Really smooth. I even did some decent rapid firing with her. Again, due to my inexperience, there may be some that would disagree on the stocked trigger.

Nice choice and good shooting. Santa got one right in the kisser!

I had to share it. What are the odds of it being that perfect.

Now go over to Cabelas and pick up a case of Blazer Brass on sale for $10/box and use the free shipping coupon.

It's got a pony on it, nice choice, I like.  Good luck with it. PM if you want to go plinking sometime, I know a place.  Welcome to B'Town.

I checked Cabela's site and did not see that they carry Blazer Brass. That was the ammo I used on the above photos. Hey, I am a fan of plinking. I'll PM you later with my info.

You will get NOTHING this Christmas! :)

    Coal it is. :)
