  1. Ah, I guess I didn't understand the process well enough. I thought the FARS system was at state level and once approved there, it went to local PD for final processing.
  2. That's good to hear! Appreciate the update. Much appreciated.
  3. Still waiting, but here are the details: 1. Application type: initial FID + P2P 2. Police Department where you applied: Livingston PD 3. Name of the person you dealt with at the PD: online 4. Time taken to issue FID and/or permit: still waiting June 30 - initial online application filled, fingerprinting scheduled References completed within 24 hours July 2 - email from Livingston PD confirming receipt of FARS application submission July 17 - fingerprints done July 22 - criminal history check completed 5. Documents required by the PD (aside from the standard application and the mental health release form): none yet So, almost 2 months since last update on criminal history check being done. Is there any way to check the status at the NJ state level? Livingston PD doesn't have any updates. A couple of posts up above around the time that I applied and also FID+P2P got theirs already. Any suggestions on what I should do next?
