  1. Not exactly central jersey, but Lawmen Supply in Egg Harbor City on the white horse pike has a pretty goo selection of holsters. For what it's worth, I have a K40 and use a DeSantis Nemisis front pocket holster, and a custom molded kydex IWB for it.

  2. I had mine done in October for my FL renewal by the local PD. No issues other than they charge $10 for non-law enforcement printing, and had to make an appointment with the evidence room guy since he is the one who does it and is the sole evidence clerk for the county here. Relatively pain free. Have to do it again for my VA renewal in a few months, and he told me to just call him for an appointment.

  3. I'm definitely interested. Just ordered Tech Sights for my 10/22. I live in Northern NJ. I believe this is a 2 day shoot. Wondering if I should rent a hotel room for the evening at some place cheap..... not paying in 3 hour increments cheap, but cheap.

This is great. I've been wanting to attend one of these!!!

There is a hotel and a couple campsites within a few miles of the range in Winslow.

  4. The only thing this law is/was designed to solve is the state's fear of us having the ability to arm ourselves in any reasonable amount of time....which is itself completely laughable considering what we have to go through to even exercise what little right we have left here. As for straw purchases....there is no problem with straw purchases in this state. Nobody is going through the diatribe necessary to legally acquire a handgun, and have it registered to them upon purchase, only to turn around and sell it on the street so that later when it is recovered at a crime scene, or on a criminal suspect, it can be directly traced back to them. All the gun laws in this state are designed to do one thing and one thing only--reduce the number of firearms legally possessed by mere mortal non-political peons for the purposes of creating total dependence on the state. One only need to research the history of NY's Sullivan law to see how it all fits.

  5. well i was pretty confident i would get slammed a little for being pro-choice. not something i'll apologize for. i do find it not only surprising but a little appalling that some of you assumed that means i'm pro-abortion in lieu of responsible forms of birth control. that's pretty sad guys. really.

    LIFE: The FIRST inalienable right.....

  6. Not really. I've tried them in my 500A and the only problems I had was when I cycled the action pretty fast(as I tend to do with this thing), they would bounce off the trigger assembly and either flip over or fall out the bottom. If you cycle it at a relatively normal speed, they work fine.

  7. Also here's another question no one has seemed to ask yet: Will existing FPID's be grandfathered into the new system or will they have to re-apply and go through the whole application process all over again? Because it'll really suck if the new system doesn't address the whole priority issue we deal with now which means if you're forced to re-apply for it you could end up waiting another 3 months to a year to get your new card.

What they'll probably do is introduce the new cards and they are optional for the first year or so. While you wait on the new one, you can use your old one.

That however makes too much sense. My guess is that when you apply, you surrender the old one and 90-270 days later, you get the new one.

Never surrender your old card, it NEVER expires.

You can turn it in WHEN you receive your new one, not one minute before.

Of course, that is only one problem with this plan. it's another tax thrust upon us. If you fail to renew it, you are now a criminal. And they will know you are one because I can guarantee their system will alert them to FIDs that are overdue for renewal. As stated, what happens to private sales, and private sales with OGAM in place. How long will the renewal process take. Will it be a possession, or purchase id card. Will it be needed to purchase ANY ammo. who will set the cost, and how often will that cost increase every time there is a financial "crisis" in the state.

I think I'll stick with the one I already have. it's paid for, never expires, & laminated.

I'm not paying ANOTHER TAX to exercise what I have left of my constitutional rights any damn more.
