  1. This thread is giving me a headache. Substantially similar could mean any Black firearm in the mind of the wrong prosecutor. I agree with PK90's earlier post. I think it depends a great deal on who is found with the firearm. Obviously a suspected gang banger would have a harder time in court. Bottom line is how much time and money are you willing to spend to defend your rights?

  2. We need a new rule around here: if you mention Dick's in a posting, you have to tell us which location!

Actually, that should apply to any chain store!

Sorry that is the Millville Store. I didn't even bother asking price because they were out of 45 ACP anyway

  3. Stopped in at Dicks this morning to check out ammo prices. Sign on counter gave the sale prices for handgun ammo including case price which was $1.00 a box cheaper if you buy 10 boxes. Next to that was a sign stating that they limit you to 5 boxes of handgun ammo because of shortages in the market. Is it just me or is something amiss here?

  4. I bought one of the S&W MP-15 rifles they had. It was shockingly priced at $1818. I bought it anyway, having AR-15 money with me. Turns out that was actual exactly MSRP for the model selected, which included F&R Troy Industries folding BUIS. Most stores are friendly when you give them close to $2000, these guys were not particularly.

Trying to get counter help at lunch times appears to be impossible. They do not appear to be so anxious to help people they do not know.

Are you talking about Butch's or back to Cheyenne?

  5. It does seem different down here, and even more so when you get down further to Vineland. I couldn't wait as planned and decided to take off early from work yesterday. It was good and bad... I got my Buck Mark, but not before I was ass-ended by a pickup truck on Landis Avenue! My first thought was that I'd be tied up and Butch would close before I got there (that's when I knew I was hardcore). The other guy got ticketed and I was able to drive away...and into Butch's lot with time to spare.

    This is what I got http://www.browning.com/products/catalo ... ype_id=448

I can't wait to get out on Sunday and shoot it!

I am looking to get one of these soon. Let us know how it shoots. Did you get a good deal?

  6. I live right next to East Rutherford. I want to get the firearms ID asap but I'm trying to figure out if i need to pay for the fingerprint section of it because i already have state and federal prints done when i was a intern at the county prosecutors office.

Losing a loved one devastates a family, and being a Veteran makes him part of a bigger family. Our nation loses a part of itself with the passing of a Brother(or Sister...sorry girls). I have been fingerprinted over 10 times in my life for various reasons(all good) and still had to cough up the $5 dollar fee for fingerprinting. Pretty much, unless you have gotten them done digitally, you will need them done again.

Once again I am sorry for the loss of your grandfather.

  7. Has anyone here tried http://www.Ammoman.com yet? He is located at 1036 INDUSTRIAL DRIVE, WEST BERLIN, NJ 08091 and ships free but can't ship to NJ residents. He does however, offer further discounts if you pick it up. He is currently out of .45 ACP(DAMN!). He seems to get a lot of surplus ammo also. You can get on his email list and be notified when stuff comes in. And before anyone asks.... No I am not affiliated in any way with him! Just like to help out a Brother who supports gun owners during this time when everyone is trying to gouge us.

  8. Bob's Little Sport Shop in Glassboro is an indoor range that rents. They charge $15 an hour to shoot. 2nd shooter is only $5 more. You have to buy their ammo if not a member also. I think they charge $15 to rent a gun also but you can try several different guns for that. Phone # is (856)881-7575. Good luck

  9. I think we could get 100% participation on the question of who has had their thumb eaten by the slide of a semi-auto pistol when gripped improperly. I know I have the scars. When my wife first started using my XD45 compact, I forgot to warn her. She bled all over my gun that day. I sometimes wonder if I subconsciously neglected to warn her as sort of an initiation since everyone has done this at one time or another. She did continue to shoot that day and even bought her own XD. What a trooper!!

  10. I bought several guns from Harry's in the past, but I have to agree with the assessment here. I'm waiting on a few permits and stopped out there last Friday afternoon. I was met with, at best, indifference. I then went down to Sportsman's and was completely ignored by the one guy working the counter who was filling out paperwork for a recent sale. He wouldn't even make eye contact or acknowledge me. The guy at the bow counter said he didn't know anything about guns. I left. I think I'll check out Butch's in Vineland. People I shoot with speak highly of him. It's not much further from where I live than Bordentown. Has anyone shopped there?

I stopped in at Harry's a few months ago to see what all the hype was about. I was not impressed at all. I found the staff was kind of rude to me. I asked to see a rifle after waiting for a salesman to get free and he acted like I was putting him out. Now, Butch's in Vineland is the place to shop. It is a small shop and can get cramped in there but their customer service is top notch. Their prices are very competitive and they will take the time to to answer any questions you may have. Butch is a very straight up kind of guy. He is very personable and friendly. I have bought a few guns there in the last couple of months.

  11. Well this is my favorite!

    His name is Mephistopheles.

    And he's all MINE!

Very nice weapon you got there. Can't remember the last time I heard a gun referred to as a male. Of course it isn't legal here in NJ. They don't trust us to have a folding or collapsible stock, flash hider or suppressor or a Mag with a capacity over 15 Rounds if we have the pistol grip. And who would know what is best for me better than my government?

  12. Just wanted to say hi, as I was just lured here from XDTalk by Maksim. I was glad to hear about this site. I get tired of listening to all the guys in "America" discussing the ways they carry concealed legally. I have a big enuff challenge just transporting my firearms to the range without a hassle. My two biggest hobbies are Harleys and guns. I am trying to figure a way to combine the two. Now that would be interesting. You would definitely see an article in the press about me. Like "Gun toting Biker clears traffic jam!" Anyway, in my spare time I can be found at the South Jersey Shooting Club in Winslow Twp. Ask for Chris. Maybe I'll see some of you there.
