  1. Hi everyone,

I've "lurking" on this forum for a couple of years. Quite frankly, just like everyone else I'm completely frustrated with the insane State Laws when it comes to even attempt to apply for a CCW. while I've seen many posts, form letters, and bills on the forum. I've yet to results out of any of them.

So my question is, what is the best approach to attempt to repeal/modify the current system in the State? Is it the NRA? State representatives? Governor?

speaking of our new Governor. i've not heard anything he's doing regarding 2nd amendment issues in the State. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

  2. I'm an FFL and have been thru different NRA courses & have my Fla CCW, had endoresmets from a detective in my town, so I went thru the process, went in front of the Judge, and he said without documented personal threats against me, he would not consider it at this time....................good luck if your going to try.

Thanks for everyone's input. I'm not sure if i'm going to try, especially if I have to disclosed a was "denied" on any future applications. :? Documented personal threats? Why is this even a requirement? Is there anything we can do to change the restrictive gun-laws in the State? Where does it stop? Sometimes I wonder why I haven't moved yet...

  3. I'm just wondering if anyone has gone through the "NJ restrictive process" of applying for a CCW. I recently received my

CCW from the great State of Florida(I'm thinking about moving there). I'm seriously thinking about applying for one but I'm wondering what are the repercusions, if denied. Will it jeopardize renewal of my Florida CCW? What about the required "justification letter", any suggestions? And to think the THUNE bill would've passed if our two professional politicians voted in favor.

  4. Not only is it common, it is pretty much forced upon us by the State and Mt Laurel decisions, we have lost all control as citizens and our state is a one party joke. The only way to get change is to organize and fight back. Meetings, volunteer for pro-gun candidates, we also need to organize in inner cities not just white suburbia. I have been trying to get as many people to get their license and but a gun as possible, so they feel they have a stake in this. If people dont think it effects them, they dont care.

We have a small group here that are interested in this, we need numbers

I'm on board, when and where do we meet!

  5. That's great to hear!

I received mine last week. I haven't decided on a holster yet, any suggestions?? I've an XD .45c.

Have to start thinking of anyone I know that does not reside in the Communist State of New Jersey. Just think

if Lautenberg and Menendez would've voted for the National CCW it'd have passed!

I sent my application April 30th.

  6. Alcon,

I got the FID card and only 1 permit. I know...should have applied for more :? But the great news is I've one. I already purchased an XD .45c. It's waiting for me to pick up on Thursday(cant wait). Can anyone give me any suggestions on a range? i'm looking for a place with some"off-peak" times. I've not shot in years and want to regain my comfort zone.

    Thanks!

  7. Great news! Got my FID card today(picked up at the PD). Nothing but great things to say about the Department.

    Here's my timeline;

    April 7th- Dropped off application

April 10th- Interview with Deputy Chief

    May 6th- Application approved

May 11th- Received letter and picked up card

As another member posted. Extremely professional Officers and a very smooth process. After reading some of the "horrible" waiting periods, I consider myself lucky to say the least.

  8. Thanks megaman!

I submitted my application around the 7th of April. Spoke to the Sgt last Monday and he told me all he's waiting on

is the mental health form. I can't wait! I already purchased a handgun and it's waiting for me at Lawman's. Rounds inroute from Bass Pro-shops(should be here Tuesday).

  9. I know everyone here's frustrated with the way NJ infringes on our rights. It's unbelievable how long some of us

have to wait in order for the State to "give us the okay" to exercise our right!

While I have no control over how many forms, timeline, Pd cooperation. I do have control

over one thing...My vote! I'll definitely make sure come election time I carefully listen for what's NOT being said

and vote for the candidate that will not infringe on my rights.

Quite frankly, We as citizens have alllowed our State to come to this. Remember dont forget to vote!!!
