  1. That's what I figured. I'll talk to him Monday. I just wanted to know ahead of time. Thanks for the help!
  2. it's NJ compliant and the dealer accepts anything. Does the seller need to provide i.d.?
  3. I am looking to buy a handgun from a friend of mine in Texas. Neither one of us has done this before, so can someone explain what we have to do? I know I need a pistol permit, but does he need to provide i.d. when he sends it? Should his i.d. be a drivers license or passport? Thank you.

    changing calibers

My XD and my USP both have barrels with the serial # on them, but my p239 doesn't thats why I was wondering. Thanks for the info!
  5. I've been wondering if I could change the caliber of one of my handguns? I have a sig p239 in a .40 and was interested in changing it to a .357. Do Jersey laws allows this? Also I am in the market for a 1911 and was wondering about the .22 conversion kits and if they are allowed or not? Thank you
  6. SWEET!!! I wasn't sure so I thought I would ask. I never know with Jersey's laws. Thanks for clearing that up. Since that is the case I will play with the 5.56 for a while and then get the .50! I know this is the AR section, but what about handguns that can convert to .22 or .357 etc.?
  7. I doubt this is legal in nj, but I was wondering if you are allowed to change the caliber of an ar type rifle to something other than 5.56? I am building one right now and while I am going to go with 5.56 I was just wondering if I would be able to switch to 6.8 later or would I have to buy a whole new rifle? Are the rules same for handguns (ie .22 conversion)? Thank you
