  1. I came in a strong LAST in both my classes! I had fun, that's all I care about. Don't even care about the time lost putting 9 extra rounds on the stop plate, MAG DUMPS RULE! :)

Now let's get some knockdown steel going!

The timer should have been rolled back to your first shot that hit the stop plate if I remember correctly. Hence the name...Stop Plate.

    I could be wrong.

  2. Their range was always top notch, although the supervision on the range (i.e. Range Officers) was often lacking.

I went there a few weeks ago. I got my friend and his wife into shooting. They got memberships there and guested me in. The kid who was ROing left a lot to be desired. Don't get me wrong, he was a nice guy but he wasn't paying attention to anything going on. He was joking around with a few guys at the range and I had to tell him 5 times to stop sweeping up my brass. If he swept it up one more time I was going to go over to the brass drum, take handfuls and fill up my bag

  3. I haven't read the novel but I can see Darryl's brother coming back in the third season and there being a showdown between them. A good vs evil thing. Darryl has slowly been turning to the light side of the force. I think Mearle is going to sway him but he stays a good guy. I think it will be a fight to the death. I bet Mearle has a sword or other sharp instrument where his hand used to be.

  4. I shoot plated bullets all the time, but I suck too much for bullet choice to cause much of a difference. If I were to shoot an area match or something where money was on the line, I would go for a quality jacketed bullet, such as montana gold or precision delta.

I bought that line of thinking for awhile. However I needed some bullets to make some minor loads up for the steel match. Picked up some montana gold bullets locally and made up some rounds. I can say that they are not as accurate out of my m&p as the berrys I used prior. I think it might have been because the berrys are a touch bigger then the montana golds that the rifling bites into them better. I would have to play around with them some more to be sure.

  5. Alright, I'm going to try and get there around 815. so probably around 840!

I just made up some steel loads and I swear they suck. I'm using a better bullet and I swear they aren't shooting as accurately.

I was shooting a Berrys plated at 176 power factor. Yeah a little high but my barrel broke in and the power factor went up by 10. For the steel load I am using a Montana Gold bullet that theoretically should be running around 130 power factor and it is not shooting well at all. This could make for a long day tomo.

Gotta go paint my freshly made target stands now.
