also if you could take caliper measurements of the ears for me I would be grateful, I must have taken 1/8'' off both ears and it still wont close. also the file i'm using seem to be digging into the body of the bolt head(what kind of file did you use?) so I plan on buying another bolt head to redo it but any pics or info on the process would be appreciated.

hi eric its steve again, sorry if i'm being bother some but I was wondering if you have any pics of the bolt head? I'm trying to get an idea of how much needs to come off the lugs to head space correctly. heres a couple pics of my progress http://s856.photobucket.com/albums/ab126/sagillman/HB%20Mosin/ its slow going but i'm not in a hurry. i'll be splicing in a mac 90 thumhole in lieu of the psl.

Hey eric thanks for the reply I sent you another pm. also when you talk about the bolt lugs do you mean the rim on top of the bolt face that helps the extractor contain the cartridge?

Eric has been away at work. He returns this week, be patient with him, he leaves for 3 week stints. M I understand thank you.
