  1. I'm currently looking for a Handgun Permit lawyer in NJ to assist me with my Firearms ID app. Currently, I have a phone conference scheduled for Jack Venturi's office at 3pm today. I also called Evan Nappen's office and all the lawyers there were in court and unable to assist me. These are the only two lawyers I could find and mind you, my "Google-Fu" is black belt worthy lol.

If anyone could assist me in finding some more reputable lawyers in NJ, I would GREATLY appreciate it!

  2. Basically, when you sign SP 66, are you giving them permission to look at any record of your's protected under HIPAA, ie doctors visits, emergency room visits, and stuff like that? Or do they ONLY have access to mental health institution commitments and mental health adjudications? Do they have access to any and every prescription you have ever used? Do they have access to any and every hospital visit you ever made? Whats the deal?

    Just asking for FYI.

  3. huh?!

copy and pasted it straight off the form which I got from the NJSP's website.

NO! You are correct! I just picked up my application from my local PD and they are using the November 2003 version of STS 33! Furthermore, they also ask you to sign a work records release form (which I will NOT sign, one because I'm unemployed, and two because its not required by statute that I sign it)!

The STS 33 form on NJSP website is September 2009 version.

  4. Is it question #25 that you are referring to?

#26: Do you suffer from a physical defect or sickness?

#25: Have you ever been attended, treated or observed by any doctor, psychiatrist or at any hospital or mental institution, on an in-patient or out-patient basis for any mental or psychiatric conditions? If yes, give the name & location of the doctor, psychiatrist, hospital or institution and the date(s) of the occurrence.

  5. It is a common lie to say that they felt threatend by a spouse being angry, they just remember him being angry and later decide that hey were afraid. BS.

This was my case back in 2007. Vindictive spouse got a restraining order on me saying she felt threatened. I have no criminal record, absolutely NO history of violence, and absolutely have NEVER verbally, mentally, nor physically abused her. Thenm to make matters worse, the TRO got turned into a FRO because I didn't make it to court that day BECAUSE I WAS AT COURT IN ANOTHER TOWNSHIP FOR A TRAFFIC TICKET. To make a long story short, we reconciled and the whole matter was dismissed. So hopefully, this won't be a problem when I try to get my permit in Egg Harbor Township. Its important to note that nowhere in the restraining order did it say I used physical force against her. (The whole thing was a lie from the start though. I'm just mad I never got to defend myself before it got dismissed.)
