  1. Vlad...Any suggestions on an OWB holster for Glock 43 as CCW.  I like the idea of a paddle so I don't have to wear a belt.  Just having a hard time making a choice of what to get.

    Thanks.

  2. Your not the only animal rights advocate, protecting animal rights and rescuing animals is what I do for a living as an Animal control officer and Animal cruelty investigator. How ever I look at every animal the same. Dogs and cats are the same as cows, pigs or any other animal, to me. Many other cultures eat dogs and cats but these are not usually pets. There are farms that raise dogs for food the same way we raise cows for food. This practice is not wrong or cruel it is just not what you are used to. People in India think Americans are the scum of the earth for caging and eating cows. Your opinion is shared with many other westerners but really your views on valuing one animals life over another is a minority in the world as a whole.

All I'm saying is to act as if you don't grasp the concept of how people can value certain animals over others is nothing short of bullshit. How you can't recognize how people will value dogs which have evolved over thousands of years to be companions to humans over say an animals raised as exclusively as food is ridiculous. I don't care what side you stand on but to not grasp that concept is really impossible.

  3. My second piece of advice: Find a good taxidermist. We kill hundreds of millions of chickens, pigs, cows, etc. every year for food. Some of these animals are at least as sentient as companion animals. Why we value dogs and cats more than those other creatures is a mystery I'll never understand.

I find this entirely too difficult to believe that you can't understand how people value certain animals over others.  I'm probably one of, if not, the only "tree huggers / animals rights" people on here and even *I* grasp this concept.

  4. Can't help you there but I'd try reaching out to cat rescues or TNR groups and asking them for suggestions.  In the meantime, prohibit her from being outdoors and walk her.  Yes... as in on a harness and leash, until you can find a better alternative.  Sounds silly but I'd prefer to do that than risk injury to my pet.

    Good luck.

  6. Mossberg 500 w/ an 18"-20" barrel.  The standard is 12 gauge and it has superior versatility, but you might find this interesting...

I have a Mossberg 500 12 gauge.  If I could go back I would've gotten the 20 gauge.   Only issue I've heard with them is sometimes the actual switch for the safety will break and needs to be replaced.  Easy enough to replace.  Overall I'm happy with it.
