  1. A .22 is a great weapon to choose as your first. However, you may find you'll quickly out grow it and want a higher caliber weapon once you're more comfortable with shooting. I could be wrong but it's something to consider. That said, you may want to open yourself up to investigating weapons that can be converted from a .22 to a higher caliber. Just a suggestion.

Also, lots of great people on here. Venture out to a local range with some other forum members. I'm sure there will be plenty who would be willing to let you fire a few rounds through their weapons.

    Best of luck!

  2. I use to do a lot of work with dogs. Interned with literally one of the most respected trainers nationally and internationally.

One of the resources I point all my friends to when they are getting a dog or have a dog is ... www.dogstardaily.com. Excellent site and a few free ebooks especially valuable when getting a puppy.

    Good luck

  3. I would even be willing to make a distinction between non-violent crime and violent crime.

So those who embezzle money that leave the elderly destitute should be entitled simply because it's not a "violent" crime? Have to disagree. If there's a victim to the crime then there should be a loss of rights. That's just my opinion though. My position is of that of a form of punishment, not necessarily the chance of a future violent crime.

  4. convicted felons is a tough one.. because people really can change..

you have to ask yourself.. if someone does time.. real time.. and changes their life should they really never gain that right back?

Uh...fugg yeah that's what I'm saying. Try being a victim of one of those "reformed" felons. As if it isn't bad enough that they have the opportunity to walk the streets and have a decent life. Must they be entitled to all the luxuries of not being a felon? We all have a chance to *not* be a felon. If you can't make the cut the first go around then, yes, you deserve to lose some rights.

And I'm with you...just discussing. We don't need to agree. It's not personal.
