  1. My 16 year old son is interested in pursing competitive shooting. Can someone recommend programs in the North Jersey area for me to get him enrolled in? We are members of Cherry Ridge, so that would be the logical location to go to. But any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!!

  2. I have owned the 87 Cheetah for about a year and consider it to be one of the finest made and smoothest shooting .22 handguns on the market today. At between $750 and $800 out the door it is also one of priciest, but you get what you pay for. This is gun I will be proud to hand down to my kids. I also own a 92FS and the Cheetah is a quite different gun. The Cheetah is a blow back design and lacks the decocker found on the 92. The 8 round mag is a downside, but it is my understanding that the 87 target mags which have a ten round capacity also fit the 87 Cheetah. You may want to confirm that. I purchased the extended barrel and counterweight for the 87 from CDNN. The 5.9" extended barrel does increase accuracy.

I would suggest you visit the beretta forum www.berettaforum.net. You will find a great amount of information on the Cheetah and can solicit opinions from people who have forgotten more than I will ever know about Berettas. The Beretta forum is also one of the most collegial and civilized forums out there.

Bottom Line: If you are willing to spend the $ you won't be disappointed.

  3. I did an FFL transfer yesterday with Joe. What a really nice guy. It was not a big money maker for him, but he was as pleasant as can be. And then after we were done, he took time to show my son and myself some of the more interesting handguns he has in inventory. Looking forward to them getting some more inventory in. I want to give them all my business. I would highly recommend them.
