  1. 4 mags is preferable, but if you don't have all you have to do is ask and someone will help reload or top off what you have.  Just don't ask Mikeythumbs because he doesn't know the difference between a snap cap and a live round.

Point being is that don't not come if you don't have 4 mags.

I'm not shooting the event but will be on site participating in some high brow shotgun event, but I've been stockpiling rotten tomatoes from my garden in the hopes I have a few minutes to meander over and pelt the crowd after a proper heckling.

Also this coming from the man that went to shoot a stage with on two mags loaded cause he was being a brass whore somewhere else

  2. Against the clock. 5 pins for semi 4 for revolver. 7 rd mags for semi 6 for revolver two mag/cyl per table. Two tables per round 3 rds per match. Each table is shot seperate and is a seperate time. Pin must be compleatly off table for it to count. Can shoot rimfire also pin is placed at the back of the table. 10 sec penalty per miss. Not sure about the 500 being used you would have to contact a MD.

  3. Some people might want a pistol and have no need for or interest in rifles/shotguns, I know a few folks that only have pistols for HD and no long guns but of course they got the FPID at the same time as the P2P.

I guess if you really want just a single firearm (pistol) you can still obtain a P2P with no FPID but the FPID might come in handy someday if you ever decide to get into long guns.

Or buy ammo for said handgun in nj.

  4. I have no idea how he obtained it without that, I think it was left blank.

It's possible (or was possible) to obtain a P2P without a FPID, in my relatives case he had a pistol shipped to a dealer from a family members estate and obtained his P2P without the FPID as he has never done any hunting, taget shooting, etc. so no need for long guns.

Of course that was in the 90's.

If unsure, call (609) 882-2000 ext 2060 and someone at NJSP FIU can probably give a better (detailed) answer on how to go about this

I was just very supprised not doubting it happened but you are right why get the P2P and not get the FID at the same time

  5. Griz the only reason that rule was out in at first was for the cowboy shooters thy wanted to let cowboy shooters practice but not let others shoot PCC or even like you said lever action 357's. It kills me that they didn't amend it because every 9mm pistol and 40 pistol not to mention all the big bore wheel guns are over 1000 FPS. They just need to rewrite the whole rule but it took them two months just to write the part about PCC being allowed so I guess we can't rush them too much

  6. Mikey is that a change I'm not aware of??? Is there still the velocity restriction???

There is still the velocity restriction on paper but the new rules say PCC is allowed it was just changed over the last two months. Most of the people say it is ok to shoot PCC up to 45 acp hope when they finish amending the bylaws it will be put correct in writing. I shot with a board member at bowling pin and he said 9 40 and 45 PCC are fine
