I just finished the first steps pistol class at Gun For Hire in Cedar Grove NJ. I had no experience and was nervous about the class but it went very well, the instructor said I did good and did not tense up in reaction to the recoil like most newbies.
It was a lot to learn and tried to absorb as much as I could. I also signed up for the non resident Florida concealed carry permit since they do it all right at the school if you take the class.
Geuss the next step is to try and get the FID permit (for pistols) here in Caldwell NJ, I wonder how long it takes. Then take the 2nd steps class.
I enjoyed the shooting and want more practice and training. I can see how this could become addicting, I felt so proud after having actually shot the glock and revolver and brought home my target sheet.
