    My dilemma.. If you wanna call it that... I like shooting my 19.. I dont wanna have it laid up for weeks if not a month or two maybe more. So what I was hoping to do is get a new slide wich will ve shipped out to be milled and refinished and have the original slide to use will its out... Dunno if thats even possible being i haven't found a slide period for a gen 4 G19

    I am considering adding a Trijicon RMR on top of my G19Gen4 slide along w/ suppressor sights. Any idea where I can locate a complete G4 slide assembly? I DONT wanna cut the original one. Has anyone done this previously? Ive seen this set up in afew mags and want to try it out. Since I wont be using my G19 in USPSA anymore, im free to do whatever with it.

     

    Any luck on finding a G19 Gen 4 Slide ?? Im concidering moving to a trijicon RMR myself.. And feel the same way don't wanna mill the original slide.... WAs hoping to buy another one and have it done to that one..

    Warren Street was blocked by Trenton PD when we tried going down it. They wouldn't talk to us, just told us to keep it moving.

     

     

    We made a mistake in regards to that- we drove a lifted truck up there. Would not fit in the parking garages. Doh!

    65 days, contacted Linden PD, they said my background check is finally being processed. Detective said "hopefully within the next couple of months, you'll get your FID."

     

    Who knew that filling out paper-work was a multi-season process.

    Ofcourse it was an "oversite".... Don't get my wrong..... I totally see the double standard... But did you really think there were gonna make LEO's conform to the same standards as civillians ? I have my fair share of LEO firends and they are probally gonna think Im bashing them too but damn.. What's good for the goose isn't good for that gander anymore..

    First off, have you tried to contact the FFL? And if so, what was their response. Also wasn't there a NICS fax number change last week? Could that be a problem with the change over? Just a few question before a FFL get thrown under the bus, especially if its a forum supporter.

     

    I waited 24 hours.. Paperwork was faxed..

     

    My FFL told me yes... NICS fax number was changed form a 900 number to a 800 number he had to do alot of phone running around to get thru and finally get the correct number..

     

    Side note... Isn't there a stipulation where if you don't get a response from NICS in 3 days you can continue with the transaction ?????

    I left another message for Detective Sgt. Chris Cornelius yesterday, and received a call-back today. He apologized for not getting back to me earlier and stated that my FID and P2P's could be ready as soon as tomorrow, IF the Township Comittee designates an Acting Police Chief during their meeting this evening. I intend to attend the Township meeting.

     

    Good for you... Show them you mean business... Get up and say something make it short and too the point.
