  1. That's a common problem. I've all but given up trying to get lgs to carry even basic parts that could be needed due to a failure. Spring kits, bolts LPKs etc. Only stocks seem to be around.

From their perspective however, it's an almost infinite number of combos, choices, that's a lot of money tied up on castle nuts, fore grips  and gas tubes. Throw in Pic, keymod or M-lok and you're up to your neck in inventory.

    Oddly, on point

Yes. We've all said this. Yet the media keeps chugging along.

THIS insult to our intelligence will reach a bursting point like a putrid puss-filled pimple.

How long will marginally functional people continue to be flummoxed by the media's ledgermain? I think they have over played their hand yet again.

And there you go right there......

Yea. That's for sure. But like Microsoft, they probably have the largest installed base in the world. If you're going to exploit, do it to greatest numbers. It's why Apple os has few virus. Who cares, when there's like 12 of them

A decent firewall(settings) and a little care and you'll be fine.

    Security by obscurity.

Would it be better to say" our investigation led us to the conclusion there are more like him. And, we are on the brink of civil war. "?

It would be best to say something akin to:

"since we haven't seen violence pantomimed by the right through media and/or so called art, we have to conclude that the liberals and the complicit media/Hollywood complex have incited this criminal by the selective application of 1st amendment freedom of speech rights. Further the hypocrisy of allowing "art" and speech that is clearly seditious, they will be considered accomplices to this crime."

    OH MY GOD...

If I was a public figure, and said that, the outcry would be deafening.

But Pelosi condemned the attacks! They would cry.  Anyone else see a parallel to the tactics of jihadists in this?

    #HuntRepulicans = #AllEyesonISIS or #CalamityWillBefallUS

before the flames of it's not the same, I tell you it's the same play book.

Civil War? Odds are against it. Noting is impossible. But you have to hope for the best.

  5. I have several HikVision systems. It is true that you can't go back immediately like 2 minutes ago to see what just happened. I think the system is compiling the video into a high efficiency codex for higher Rez. That takes time. In my system, you are seeing a lower Rez version of what gets recorded. Especially on the mobile app. Have you used the desktop app?

So there is a lag when you go back. It's frustrating when a motion light goes on and you want to see what triggered it.

You have spurred me into calling the company I use and discussing this little annoyance I've dealt with for years.

As for the motion detection, you can't have both. It's a real time function.

A tip, spiders wreak havoc with the IR and the motion detecting. Clean then well and spray them with home defense or they become useless at night.

  6. Why, though?

Why would the FBI spin this and his motive. Put it into context with the #Huntrepublicans crowd and the dem operative that just got caught saying "I’m glad he got shot” and “I wish he was f–king dead.” about Scalise...

Are they trying to normalize violence against conservatives? It just seems awfully contrived even for the FBI.

  7. Yea....

if you look very carefully at all this stuff, there is a narrative being spun up.

I wrote about it in the Qatar thread.

There was a book, and a movie, The Sum of All Fears by Tom Clancy. Where a Fascist/Neo-nazi group brought the US and Russia to the brink of war to further their ends. One line in the book always struck me...

"we cannot beat Russia and the US, like Hitler tried to in WW2, why not get them to annihilate each other and then we take over"

It's a pretty good plan. Shuffle the players around a little.

  8. Yet another buddy lives in VT. His dad has a sugar house and I spent a lot of hung over mornings eating stove cakes with syrup after riding.

You know the stuff they sell here the "grade a light"? It's the shit they sell to city folk. The stuff they eat is the darker bottom part. Thicker, better, tastes like maple. I love serving real syrup to people that have had the crap their whole lives. Some are so accustomed that they prefer the fake crap.

In one of my great career moves I worked for a Flavor and Fragrance house. You know the ones that make the "stuff":you buy taste like what you think it supposed to.  I could tell you stories you would not believe.  One thing, do you think manufacturers have a plant or two that supplies the whole country? Far from it.  They use regional "packaging" companies to produce the product to their specifications and it is distributed from there.  There is no way that a product from two different packing houses taste the same, period. Too many factors affecting production.  Overseas, the formulas are adjusted to respond to local tastes, so if you like it in the US, it may taste like crap overseas.  One of the best things I can tell you it a lot of brand name dog food would be flavored with two different flavors, one for the dog and one for the human.  No way a dog's palate is anywhere near a humans.

So right. A buddy dabbles in energy drinks. Had it formulated here, and packed in Minnesota, land of soft water. When the first pallet of the stuff got back, it tasted like pavement in a hot day. Had to trash it and make it here where water isn't as soft.

There's a lot to the whole food science thing.
