And that is why I am not staying in DC, right outside with a short ride on the metro system is $185 a night for a suite with a full kitchen.The Holiday Inn I'm at is almost $400/night including taxes and parking. That's just a regular room.

It's insane to stay in DC....
It might stink if the 3 year old gets too tired, but we just have to plan the timing out right. If she is having fun and being entertained she won't even need to nap. The 1 year old will sleep anywhere. Lol.

Staying at the homewood suites too. Good to hear it is decent. We have stayed at one before in another city and were very happy. The hotels in the city were 200+ a night and were not suites. Most were in the 270 a night range.

Yup. That's on the list. 4 days will not be enough time. Feel like we are only going to see half of what we want. Might need to go down in the fall too.Don't miss Arlington National Cemetary. Very somber and awe inspiring at the same time.

I have both a shield 9 and a 9c. I carry the shield daily. I am not a large person, I find it easier to conceal the shield especially in the summer months.

Thanks for the tips. If we do decide to drive into the city, probably will the first day since we are going to try to get into the city by 8am, how is parking? Prices? Garages or street parking?

Not sure about the M70, but I believe there is no bayo lug, muzzle device might need to be pinned, and you should be able to pick up a nice wood furniture set for it and put the pistol grip on.

Going to be taking a little vacation in the spring and we have decided to go to Washington DC. We have never been there before, going to be staying in Alexandria, VA. About 10 miles from the city. Taking the kids with us. One will be 3 1/2 and the other will be 1. So what should we do? Definitely going to the White House, Washington monument, Lincoln memorial, reflecting pools, the war memorials.
