  1. This is typical of Americans not taking responsibility or accountability for actions.  I have this discussion with my girlfriend constantly, about the degradation of responisbility and misplace of blame due to the domino effect of actions.  Now, instead of your child being responsible for being shot while robbing a bank, it is somehow is the police's fault for shooting him when your child had a gun to a hostage's head.  Instead of the trailer park princess being responsible for eating too much fast food and having a heart attack, it is somehow McDonalds who is at fault for the fat cow munching down three cheeseburgers a day.  Our youth and even many grown ass adults can't grasp the concept of accountability.

A close friend's little brother received his license at 17.  Daddy bought him a brand new Audi the same day, and guess what happened?  Not too long after the kid took the Audi and got in with three of his friends, they got drunk and he smashed it through a pole in Mt. Laurel.  What did daddy do to punish him?  Well he paid all the legal fees and bought him another brand new car not too long after.  How can our youth possibly place blame correctly and take responsibility when they fuck up, if they never have to suffer the consequences of their actions?  By buying him a brand new car, you are indulging his behavior and telling him what he did was not wrong.  This is a micro example of a very macro problem we have in this country.

The parents of the children who died in Sandy Hook are hurt and grieving.  But instead of placing the blame on the nutjob wacko that killed their children, they blame Remington for the problem.  I could just as easily take my vehicle and drive it into a crowd of people at an event, do you think Ford would be blamed for my misdoing?   These people need to get a grip and realize that the responsibility of this heinous crime is lain solely on the person who had the mindset and will to do it.  Remington did not intend for your children to be killed, nor do they intend for their product to be used in any brutal crime.  It is a tool, nothing more than a tool.  If he could not pick up a rifle, he would've picked up a knife.  If he couldn't pick up a knife, he would pick up a baseball bat.  Lets sue Louisville Slugger.

  2. they would. they also drink, and it's also proven that alcohol kills brain cells too.........

i don't care one way or another what another adult does, so long as it doesn't adversely affect me. meaning, don't get drunk then expect pity from me when you "skid into a curb" and set off the airbags in your car.

I second this.  I take kind of a libertarian approach on drugs, alcohol, and drug enforcement in this country.  I think it is completely up to you what you put in your body.  You want to fuck your body up with opiates or heroin, so be it, not my business.  We make too much money imprisoning low level drug offenders in America, what exactly does imprisoning a street-level crackhead do to help the society or the person?  Obviously problems occur surrounding drug abuse, theft and criminal enterprises....but we are not helping the situation with our extreme war on drugs in this country and in the criminal justice system.  We need to decriminalize a lot of less serious drugs in this country but NOT legalize it.  I know it sounds like a double-negative but look up the meaning of that.  Basically we need to stop punishing people so hard in the legal system and ruin their careers over things like marijuana but at the same time not make it completely legal and free flowing like alcohol.

  3. Pot will make some people paranoid, and do so to a state of panic. I have seen people punched and bitten by people high off their ass on weed. Sometimes you just need to let the lady hide behind the couch and hyperventilate while crying until she chills the fuck out.

Alcohol doesn't make you violent really, the effect it has is to increase the exhibition of punishment suppressed behavior and to exaggerate affect. What makes people violent when drinking is the fact that the only reason they didn't punch that person in the face before is because of the possible repercussions. Or bang that person without protection from STDs and/or pregnancy. Or jump off the balcony into the pool (well almost into the pool).  etc.

Complete nonsense. A large majority of people arrested are ALSO drunk when they brought in, alcohol causes many people to become violent and act irrationally.  People who smoke marijuana do not become violent.  As others in this thread have state, it should be marijuana that is legal and alcohol illegal.  Alcohol degrades every major organ system in your body, from your liver to your heart.  Marijuana is not exactly safe, it can lead to early development of mental disorders if you are genetically predisposed to having them (someone whose family is prone to Alzheimer, will increase his probability of getting the disease by smoking), but it is MUCH safer to your body and to society.

  4. My cousin is an aviation lawyer and said in 3-5 years there will be an extreme shortage of pilots. He said if I asked him 5 years ago he would have told my son to pick another field. However, it ain't cheap to become a pilot---many airlines want the full college degree with aviation school attached to the stigma. $50K to $75K per year!

I have the bachelors degree in something unrelated to aviation.  What did you mean by aviation school?  Like go back to college for an aviation related degree, or just go to a flight school?

  5. if you haven't met him, don't judge him. he, nor his employees are "a piece of shit".

Hey don't quote me....there's a general concensus here about this guy's opinions and demeanor. Rebute what they have to say about him, make an argument for the other side, I'm always open to hear both sides. If he really is against NJ citizens having conceal carry permits, as well as carries himself inside his shop, then he truly is a big heaping pile of shit.

  6. Has anyone seen a poll of Sweeney vs a Generic Republican?

Sweeney is not all that well known in the state. He's not Cory Booker. I'm not so sure Sweeney is all that strong a candidate. And his arrogant prick demeanor won't serve him well in a gubernatorial election.

And those other &$#%¥ bag D's that want to run are totally unknown outside their districts.

    So I'm not conceding 2017.

Love the article. They've never heard of them but will hit the (D) button on the ballot every single time just because of party affiliation.  That's what truly pisses me the fuck off....all of these Democrats who are so passionate about elections, and rally against Trump and hold signs at gatherings....They don't even know the fundamental issues their candidate supports! Seriously, have a legitimate conversation with a passionate liberal, ask him: what his candidate's stance is on immigration, abortion, foreign wars, taxes, veterans benefits, etc.  You will be left with a speechless liberal pussy who doesn't know even the most FUNDAMENTAL issues that his candidate supports/opposes.  They vote in the direction their friends and or relatives vote.

  7. He is not anti gun. He is however fiercely anti 2A when it comes to CCW. He believes only the police, himself and Sweeney should be allowed to carry! He feels that due to

the dense population here that we are very different from the other states and that CCW rights should NOT be given to NJ citizens unless they are Law enforcement Officers!

    Friend and supporter of Sweeney.

Threw Anthony Colandro and "Gun for Hire" out of his store.

Refused to support Sweeney recall since "he WILL be our next Governor, and it would piss him off".

Told a member of this forum who visited his his shop that New Jersey is NOT the wild west and we don't need a bunch of "gun nuts" with a CCW. "leave that to the professionals"

Was an NRA state representative for many years, no improvement in 2A rights during his reign .....Duh!

Lost his NRA reelection by a landslide after word got out.

Won't let his employees carry in his shop, period!

Do you require more proof that he is an anti and a FUDD? Do a search of his last name on this forum. Better yet, stop by his shop and ask him if you can leave some NJ2AS

    brochures!

    End Rant!

What an absolute piece of shit.  Does he realize that a large portion of LEO's aren't even gun guys?  Thousands of regular Civs have more range time, experience, and know-how then cops when it comes to firearms.

  8. Do what we do in Pennsylvania. Sue the f***ing shit out of the cops and their department (both) in federal court under civil rights lawsuits. This is the reason all cops in PA are trained annually that they can't detain or request ID for people carrying a firearm (nobody is required to carry ID anyway, side note). It was actually part of a settlement. And I am friends with the guy that did that, and know others that won lawsuits as well. Pretty much put an end to that nonsense in PA, and I am grateful for their efforts.

That is what you need to do.

Oh but its not the police's fault!  Blame the legislators!  Nobody is gonna do that here because a lot of the pro-2A people and Republicans in general are LEO dick suckers.  People can't see that the law enforcement community is responsible for a lot of problems that we have...obviously because they are the first line sending us to the courts over bullshit and creating hiccups and problems associated with the permit process.  Watch how much shit I get for posting this.  BUT BUT BUT the thin blue line! BUT their jobs are so hard! BUT they are just following orders.  Give me a break, wake the fuck up people.

  9. We all know about a LGS and range in Glassboro that is owned by a FUDD! I will never spend another penny there. I spent many thousands of dollars at that shop

until I learned the facts.  We should not patronize or support any LGS that is not supportive of our 2A rights.

Considered going to that place in Glassboro as my girlfriend goes to Rowan.  What did they do, I am curious because if they truly are Anti then I won't give them my money?

  10. I'm interested in pursuing it as a career first, and as a hobby second.  What I mean is if it is almost impossible to get a job doing it, it just wouldn't be a priority as of now to pursue just as a hobby, due to how expensive it is of course.  I've talked to a few different people about it and have gotten answers as ranged as, "You can definitely get a job if you are persistent enough in doing so" and "Odds are you will not be able to find employment in this field".  Thanks again for the insight I like to scope things out as much as possible before jumping in.

  11. Already did

Minus the fact that you believe this will be seen as a direct list of appropriate deviations, how is this a step in the wrong direction?  We are finally getting the Gov. and AG's attention enough to have them create directives and press releases.  They are outlining a new process to hold the NJSP accountable for the amount of neglect put into issuing permits.  They are finally addressing carry permits to at least SOME extent.
