    To them you are guilty as the day as long, just for exercising your right....

     

     

    All these things need to be thought about...before your start that gun on for the day.....because if you draw it your life IS changed forever.    Again it's NJ....

    But that's exactly my point. We often talk about people defending their family inside of their own home, imagine the same outside of the home... It's not going to end well regardless but it's a risk I'm willing to take to keep myself and others safe.

    I get it, "It shouldnt matter! There is nothing in the law that says I can't use another gun" and I wholeheartedly agree. But in the spirit of covering your bases and looking out for all angles of attack while going about your life, the same could be said about legally, are you making the prosecutors job easier or harder to convince a jury (that is ignorant of firearms) of your guilt? If you want to be that test case, no one is stopping you, and you could walk away unscathed, if its worth the risk to you, then live your life, carry how you like. 

    So for me, I will only carry what I qualified with. Because after seeing the Rittenhouse trial and seeing the bullshit the prosecutor will fling at you, itll be one less thing to worry about. It also helps I qualified with three guns, so I have options, lol

    It's true, but then again if God forbid you ever had to use your gun, if you qualified with it or not is going to be the least of your worries. It amazes me that no one is being flagged as insane for wanting to carry in this terrible state to begin with. J/k.

    Yes! Same for my m9-22. I'm out here trying to have some fun, not reload 50 times in 15 minutes.

He bought it for my son and set the pickup site as NJ. It pained both of us to use Dicks for anything, but I digress. Anyway, the guy who was tasked with getting it out to my van was the ammo counter guy. He was swamped with customers. I couldn't believe it. To answer your question, LOTS of people buy ammo there, apparently.

    I do agree that he relies on this states current laws to further his finincial gain. I'm sure he's good for something and I hope I never have to find out.

    I can end this once and for all if you'd like. My brother is a police officer in florida. When he left NJ about 4 years ago - before he was a cop- he just left. In fact he still has his old firearms ID from NJ. In Florida the amount of background checking they do before you're a cop is literally as strict as it gets. They know if you've ever been in the vicinity of a crime anywhere in the USA, ever in your life. I think if any of this were true, it would have shown up then.

    Btw, I continue to contend that the biggest kick to the face for us is not the gun taxes believe it or not. It's the sales tax increase. It was lowered from 7 to 6.875 and then to 6.625 as compensation for the outrageous $0.23 gax tax which was rammed through under cover of darkness. Now we the citizens get nothing. Sales tax back to 7% and the terrible gas tax still in place. The transportation trust fund is a scan of the highest order. We have given this damn fund enough money to literally line the streets of NJ with gold, yet I still have to dodge massive potholes on rt 80 every day.

    You want to know NJ corruption? Take a look at the DOT and this transportation "trust" fund

    Yea i've seen those stats.  Yet no penis ban being proposed by anyone?   Perhaps on that subject there is logic and they know that just because someone has a penis they are not going to go around raping folks? So you can punish those that simply "own" a penis and use the same logic the guns?  Nah... can't do that.
    **Although full disclosure if you asked my wife, she would state that "she" in fact owns mine now and that it no longer belongs to me. so there is that.
