Oh man Oh man, thank you. I was wondering this myself. The detective who issued me my license was being vague with sayings like "the e-permit is now in the ether so theres no more physical permit" (Haha) What got me worried was when he told me this whole 'e-permit' was entirely new so he has little knowledge about it.

Got mine recently. Started at the end of October, received a call to pay for the license and the permit at Feb, and lastly a month later I received a call again to pick it up. There was also another person there to pick his up, he waited almost 6 months.
