I received the permit 9/12 with the same Ocean County Judges letter. Yet my permit does not have "See Court Order" checked, Restrictions has "None" checked. It list the three firearms I qualified with by make, model and SN.

Yes, but legal defense funds do not provide liability coverage against civil lawsuits by perps or their relatives after the criminal investigation and/or trial. The Smurf's reason is simply INTIMIDATION of legal gun owners.

I have not seen this posted on the forums, deals with NY again, but addresses discretionary limits and excessive regulation in the application process we face here. BREAKING: Judge BLASTS New York's Gun Laws... - YouTube

I have believed for a long time that overly prescribed drugs, when added to the increasing illegal drug use is the major cause for mental issues in the country. When expectant mothers are warned about drinking and drug use during pregnancy and their history of recreational drug use isn't factored in you get what you pay for so to speak. Combined with the liberal movement of "entitlement" is it any wonder society suffers?

I agree 100%. I expect to receive my permit from the Ocean County Court with said restrictions and have plans to do exactly as you suggest. I looked into the non-range membership but could not find the page for that, just regular range option. I donated more than the non range cost while there, money well spent.

I would hope the ANJRPC Strikeforce is looking into this. If my Ocean County permit is issued with the restrictions, I will be contacting them to find out.

In order of choice for me: Shield Plus 3.1" Performance Center, Springfield XDS 4", Springfield XD 3" 9mms. I qualified with the Shield.

Shooters stopped renting during the pandemic & I don't think they do anymore. Call first to check would be best.

Last I heard, SC requires you to be a resident or property owner for a CCW. SC will recognize a Florida permit now, easy to obtain, I've had one for a few years. Also, the app for USCCW is better than the web site for current reciprocal information.
-
The best way to check USCCA states list is in their App not on line. The App can be downloaded for your phone, lets you check every state's reciprocity status. I use it while traveling with my Fla permit and will with NJ's as well. Constantly being updated for changing political climate. CCW – Concealed Carry 50 State on the App Store (apple.com) Tells you if all permits from a state are honored in any given state or just resident permits, simple red/yellow/green color system for the US map, and other sections for any restricted areas, need to inform LEO, etc. For $2 it's a great tool to have handy.

The Ocean County shops I frequent do not ask me anymore, I would expect a place I'm new to would ask, and I have no problem with that.

Alien Gear Shape Shift system and Clinger Holster Hinge set are pretty adaptable. I have the Hinge for my Shield Plus and currently have it set up with the single Gear clip. The alien allows you to add shells for other guns if you need to and utilize the basic attachment configurations.

We Shoot, Swarthmore Ave Lakewood and Shooters on 539 in Little Egg Harbor, two good ranges with qualifying courses.

I buy from them quite often, Norma 115 and if they have the 124 i get them as well. I only had Geco HP which none of my 9's liked and .223 which I had good results with in my AR.

Why not just get a hunting license and use Stafford Forge range for free, about 2 minutes north of Shooters. Then you can miss all you want.

They say bring 100 rounds, none of their instructors has a 100 round requirement to qualify.

Lucky, I was told by my PD the Manahawkin office had done some walk-ins, so I went down, no one there waiting, one employee. Sat for 5 minutes ignored, finally told no walk-ins schedule online they don't make appointments either, was a week before I was printed.

Someone unable to obtain a permit for any reason or non owner suffering from suicidal tendencies might use the solo rental for the wrong purpose. Not that it can't happen with others, but it reduces the risk of impulse suicides.

I would also offer the same at Shooters in Little Egg Harbor. $20 for the range & your ammo, 9mm or .380 and they'd require you to watch a safety video before shooting, short maybe 10 min. long. What are you considering buying? PM me if interested, prefer AM meet weekdays.

Great idea, but when I saw the pics above I imagined the look on NJ educators and politicians at the very thought of something like this. Our resident Murph Smurf governor would go ballistic!

County by County?
in Concealed Carry
Posted
Thanks for the information, I just received my restricted Ocean County permit. Is there any legal effort being made to get a standardized set of regulations and eliminate the county by county discretionary system?
