So basically... people in California won't be able to buy parts for guns?

There's a foreseeable future where people end up paying a premium for their new handgun with microstamping, only to have to throw it away when the micro stamp wears out because they can't buy a new firing pin.

No retailer that sells anything gun-related would want to sell to CA out of fear of being sued. Even Amazon sells things like grips and choke tubes... I guess no more Amazon in CA!

    Sue the gangs!

I don't recall if this has been posted or not...but for your convenience in emailing both the entire NJ assembly and senate, ANJRPC has made these handy lists available; every email address ready to copy and paste into your email program (you can pick the comma- or semicolon-separated list, depending on what your email program requires).

All of the state senate and assembly email addresses

Then just fill in a title demanding they vote NO on the package of gun ban bills, a few words in the main body (easy for us to come up with) on why the bills are terrible ideas, and add your name and town to the bottom.

Let's continue to make some noise!

So the state that still uses IBM System 36 mini computers went to online FIDs.

Great.   Any bets for how long it will take to hack these so criminals can purchase guns in your name?

Do FFLs verify the validity of a DL by number for example? Or just look at the name, address and photo?

    Electronic is not always better.

Even if SCOTUS rules against NY state in this case and the Justifiable Need catch-22 goes away, do you think the PRNJ will ever relent on their additional requirements for carrying, such as the Use of Force classroom training (that the police academies give to their students) and the twice yearly range qualification that active and retired LEOs are mandated to pass to retain their carry-ability?

    I think not.

I was issued an e-FID even though I did not ask for it.

I applied for fresh P2Ps on Aug 17, approval email came this morning and included a link and security code to access my e-FID. The email stated paper FIDs were no longer being issued (we know) but it did not say if I could continue to use the paper FID or not. I assume so, since the paper ones do not list an expiration date like a DL. The issue date on the e-FID is today also, not the original date of issue.
