  1. Awesome. Yes I hope this turns out the same for us. The best guess is court is mailing back to the local PD or NJSP and that's the time in between the check cashed and picking up the permit. Very exciting...
  2. So what's our best understanding right now as to the money order being cashed? Is that a final step? I believe I read that in some post here that the permit came a few days later for someone but not sure.
  3. Mine too as of yesterday! Applied 7/14 at NJSP. Hopefully we are up next.
  4. For those of you that have called the FIU to check the status on your application, what number did you call? State police told me that FIU has had my application for a couple of weeks now. I'd like to call to check the status but not sure where.
  5. Lol .. I get you. But my question is what is their role in this particular process if FIU sounds like they do the nuts and bolts of everything? Are they just gathering the information and ensuring the application is complete so FIU can do everything else? Does everyones application go to FIU including local PD applications?
  6. Hmm. So i guess the question is what does NJSP do? I had assumed all that would be done at SP level.
  7. So what is everyone's understanding of what the FIU's role is here for those that applied directly at NJSP?
  8. Curious have you lived out of state over the last 10 years? That seemed to hang up my application. They said they were waiting for the other states to respond.
  9. I had called NJSP to check status on my app. They were waiting on my out of state mental health. I guess they reach out to every state you have lived in to get medical records. I was two weeks plus into my application and no movement due to this. Just letting you all know in case you haven't lived in NJ for the last 10 years they may be waiting on mental health records from other states so this might hold you up a bit.
  10. At State Police, when I called, they asked me to get fingerprinting done prior to dropping off application. When I dropped off the app they specifically asked for the receipt for the fingerprint. For the case number it was last name and date of registering for the appointment.
  11. I spoke with identigi on the phone. She told me that it will always say enrollment received. But, she was able to see that it was sent to the police department about 6 days after I applied. She told me specifically that it won't change ever... so if you want confirmation just call them and they can let you know. Hope this helps.
  12. Try this video. Makes it real simple. Print with your photo printer at home or take the file itself to a photo printing center. https://youtu.be/EBqDA3S12XA
  13. Same. Last week scheduled in PA. Tons of next day appointments. In and out in 10 minutes.
