  1. Well it was an absolute waste of my time, Dicks in Freehold had jhp only , I picked up some Winchester jhp +p. Dicks on Princeton much the same only jhp in 9mm. Didn't bother with Cheyenne bc I saw Maksims post. Didn't try Sportsman in Sayreville maybe I'll go see how high their prices actually are soon

  2. Got some time today, so Im gonna go hunting for ammo. Planning on stopping at Dicks, Cheyenne in Hamilton, and Sportmans Center. I might even go to Sayreville and check out Sportsman place there too. Let you know the results in a few hours, wish me luck

  3. Firearms are great , but what else does everyone enjoy doing? Im a big sports guy, Im a die hard NY Mets fan. I play a lot of golf, both golf and firearms are new interests of mine, but have quickly become addicted to both. SO what about everyone else?

  4. Well my favorite is 9mm. After range renting for several months i decided to go with the 9mm , mostly because of the cheaper price for ammo. This is not to say i have any qualms with other calibers. Ive actually already been contemplating my next purchase. Shot a HK .40 call at shore shot a few weeks ago, and really really liked its feel. Also thought that Maksim's .22 was fun at the range last week too, do i really have to pick a favorite

  5. Im with tbtrout, for the better part of a month now, this is my most frequented site. Along with CZ forums, which im on daily, this one is more for me. Same reasons as tbtrout was saying, this forum is developing nicely. I know I am not that active, but with a few more posts from our almost close to 100 members, this site will be jumping by summer :D

  6. Not sure about the finger prints, but the Bullet Hole could be closest range for u. If u look at some previous post there a few places in PA that allow you to try all types of firearms, but most ranges in NJ will have pistols for rent. There are several clubs in NJ, both public and private, not sure in your area, but near me I have a handful of membership options

  7. I've never been hunting , but could see myself giving it a shot soon. Also thru my business I meet several people who have invited me to private property to go target shooting. One customer of mine lives out in Millstone , where his family owns a animal skin and fur farm. He has told me several times to bring my handgun out to his land to join him in shooting. I was curious if I needed to have my hunters permit to join him. He said in 10 yrs of shooting he has never had a problem , but I like to go about things the legal way. anyone have info on this subject thanks

  8. It is unlawful to knowingly have in one's possession ''any hollow nose or dum-dum bullet." Nothing in this prohibition shall be construed to prevent a person from keeping such ammunition at his dwelling, premises, or other land owned or possessed by him, or from carrying such ammunition from the place of purchase to said dwelling or land, or while engaged in activities covered by paragraphs 3, 4, and 5 above under the Exceptions to the Permit to Carry or FID requirement. Except for a federally licensed collector, it is unlawful to possess armor piercing ammunition.

That is off the NRA-ILA Website

  9. Im reading that when it comes to self-defense and home protection , JHP, are the way to go. In the few stores ive gone to i just see FMJ, which ill shoot no problem at the range but I was wondering if any of you have come across JHP, possibly even FMJ +p. Please let me know what stores if any, Ive been to Cheyenne Outfitters(formerly Harry's Army Navy), they only had FMJ 115gr and 124gr, same thing with its neighbor Sportsman Center. Note: I need 9mm

    Thanks
