Don't be turned off with a Kimber. The early versions with external extractors had some problems. They dispensed with them and went internal. Fit, finish and quality are really nice. My TLE II in stainless and my SIS both work 100% right out of the box.
Nothing wrong with the Sig if that strikes your fancy. Just stay away from the low end versions of 1911's and as they are not worth the hassle.
If you can find a nice condition Colt series 70, that's the best way to go.'
Your welcome to try mine anytime at CJ.

yep, $114 now that I did a look. But still, over 2.5 times the price of the bushnell rimfire. for the parameters given, $50 or less, it is tough to beat the bushnell rimfire. You get what you pay for. The APV is 100 times better then the Bushnell. Optics are super clear.
They are great scopes.
So he should of just spent $2k and gotten a SB, or USO. =)
For $50 or less it is tough to beat that value. If you spend $150 or so, Muellers are great scopes.
Only a keyboard command would buy a USO scope.
If your going to spend that kind of money only a Night force or Leupold will be.
However anyone who buys a Kimber Tactical rifle as a sniper doesn't have a clue!!!!!
Ignorance is bliss!!

Good luck with that.
No way this will ever be NJ legal.

Tokarev and the Czech CZ-52 are worth the price of ammo.

I just got the Bushnell Rimfire Maks is speaking of....I'll let you know tomorrow how it works out.Hope it works out for you but the better choice would have been the Mueller APV.
It is a great scope but also 2.5 times the price. =) There is no right or wrong. =)
My Mueller APV was $129.00. I found it on Ebay.

Subject: Question about legality of Magpul PRS rifle stocks in New
Jersey
Hello, I have a question about the New Jersey Assault Weapons Ban. As
you probably know, the federal ban expired in 1994, but certain states
have their own AWB that did not expire. New Jersey's is similar to the
federal ban in regards to flash hider, collapsible or telescoping
stocks, bayonet lugs, etc on semiautomatic weapons. My question is in
regards to a stock for AR-15 type rifles, known as the Magpul PRS. As
quoted from Magpul's website, the stock is adjustable for length of
pull. "Compared to the A2 stock, the PRS can shorten the LOP by
0.25"
or extend it by 0.75"."
(http://www.magpul.com/catalog/index.php ... o&cPath=70
_88_90&products_id=193).
Does this constitute a collapsible or telescoping stock? It is my
understanding that the Magpul PRS is designed to be adjustable only for
shooter comfort, not for concealment purposes. The only part of the
stock that is adjustable is the butt pad (which will only adjust 1''),
whereas the main body of the stock is fixed and does not move.
Thank you for your time
Their response below:
Thank you for contacting the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and
Explosives. The stock in question is a collapsible stock.

S&W 686 is the way to go.
-
Make sure you use FMJ bullets. Anything else will be a jam-o-matic.

Stuff happens. Life isn't perfect.
-
The PRS stock is Joisey legal for the AR15 type rifle.Really??? The ATF says otherwise.
-
So how many do we have here?

I have a brand new Smith & Wesson .40 calber gun. What is a good brand of bullets I should use? A friend of mines is using WOLF bullets. Any other good bands out there. A guy at a range told me to use Federal Bullets. Can someone give me more advice of bullets?thank you
Wolf is the absolute low end of bullets.
Ant brass cases ammo will be 100% better.
Steel case ammo will wear the throat of your chamber and possible also wear your extractor long before brass case ammo ever will.

Corn cob media and Nufinish car wax works just as well.WB tom, How much car wax do you mix in there?
Just a table spoon works great.
-
Because it would have to be welded on, which would make proper cleaning of the expansion chamber and muzzle impossible, which is no fun for corrosive ammo (and you cant scrape the carbon out or anything).Correct you are. That's one of the reasons I never shoot corrosive 5.45 ammo in my AK's.

Mueller APV is the way to go. Top it off with Burris Signature Zee rings and your good to go.

I'm not a big fan of the .22 AR's.
However with that being said the one I shot operated perfectly. Yes, it was the S&W too.

I am a new shooter and just assumed it was okay to shoot with one eye closed. is this wrong? Why is it and what is the advantage of shooting with both eyes open?Train yourself to shoot with both eyes open.
Close one and lose 50% of you peripheral vision.
I shoot with both eyes open even with optics.

I went with the Hogue grip for mine. I like most of their products anyway so I might be a little biased. The feel on mine feels like most other Hogue grips, which is what I wanted. It also comes with a little storage compartment for batteries too, if your into that kinda thing (I am).Agreed 100%

Ruger 10/22's are for .22LR.
AR15's are the real deal at .223.
No comparison IMHO.

For starters this is in the AR Discussion section so let's keep it on topic...Please tell me what is wrong with a 14.5" lightweight mid-length gas system upper, with perm attached muzzle device to reach 16"...
Here's where I stand:
I have shot a middy and I prefer that to a 16" carbine gas system. I don't know if there is a notable difference between a 16" vs 14.5" middy, but since the perm attached muzzle device argument holds no water in Jersey (it's needed regardless of barrel length), why not get a 1.5" off the barrel? Muzzle velocity loss aside, any other drawback you can think of?
Regarding the LW profile, this build would be centered around a KISS mentality, with only potential addition being a LW optic (maybe a Aimpoint H-1). I tend to shoot more faster strings then slow fire, but with only a 100yrd range to shoot at, and a SHTF "realistic" engagement of <100 yards, groups opening up when the barrel gets hot are not really that big of an issue.
Lastly I'm thinking PWS FSC556 for the brake, since I have one already...
So I've been trying to come up with some decent cons, and have been unsuccessful so far. But before taking the plunge on a new upper I'd like to see what you guys have to say, and perhaps I'm missing something.
All opinions welcome...
Makes no difference unless you shooting more the 600 yards.
Build what pleases you.
