  1. The funny thing is that both sides make quite a point on a number of topics.....  Assholes?  Might be strong....but the back and forth derogatory stereotypes are the problem.

Let me play devils advocate and in doing so is not indicative of my stance, of which I am sure I have been quite clear over the years.  *BUT* let me have some fun.

    Advocation on -

Let's not forget, some of those FUDD's, actually have been on the two way range.....and many more have died FOR your 2a..........they see what carnage can be wrought when a weapon and make no mistake about it, we call them guns pistols firearms, they are weapons.  They have seen first hand what they can do when used in a terrible way.  So I can see why they might ask, why DO you need a 30round pmag?  Its not like your playing in the sand box.

What you FAIL to realize the hunter FUDD is the backbone of firearms ownership in the USA, as well as the FUTURE of gun ownership in the US.

    Advocation off -

Instead of either side demonizing the other etc........maybe just maybe if you pull both together they make a valid point.

But that whole find the middle ground has been beat to death.....and I will say it again absolutism is a failed policy.

Wow Nick, couldn't be said any better. I cannot stand tactitards but am not a fudd. I do not understand the obsession with ARs and the call of duty crowd. I think if people actually had to lug one around a bit, their attitudes would change a little.

  2. We have tons of coyotes in blairstown and yesterday mornin I saw a wolf in the front yard. Thanks bunny hungers for re-introducing them. Talked with a few neighbors and they have seen them too, I thought I was nuts for a minute.

  3. I go very frequently and don't advise doing a trip any time soon and don't organize on the forum. I got a couple of trips going on the forum and got fugged every time. You always get people saying ooh ooh I'll go, then when it comes time to leave they don't answer phones or show up.

  4. I have slowed down because my tastes are evolving. Last guns how I went to I saw guns that just a year ago I would be doing cartwheels down the aisles for. Now since tastes have changed, the price of what I buy has drastically gone up. So of course it slows down so I can save up for another big score. This year alone, I added an original Berdan Sharps(a hoot to shoot), an original documented 7th cav Little Bighorn Trapdoor Carbine(also a blast to shoot)' and a couple of broomhandles. This on top of the fact that work has been killing me and I haven't been home for months has drastically slowed me down.

  5. I challenge the OP to find a better OUTDOOR range, for less money, within 1.5 hours of Northern NJ.

I challenge the OP to find another organization that holds a candle to the work ANJRPC is doing in favor of firearms owners in NJ.

Driving 3 hours into PA doesn't count.

    Go ahead, we'll wait.

Prices have gone up, because costs of maintenance has gone up.

More ranges, with longer distances than any other club, automatic bird throwers, steel targets(in progress),

Prices have gone up because the cost of fighting for our constitutional freedoms has gone up.

Regardless, I dare you to try and find the same quality range for a similar cost.

My range is 12 minutes from my house in warren county and membership is $20.00 a year. Nobody cares what you do or shoot as long as you clean up after yourself. Wanna pack a watermelon full of tannerite, go for it......they go boom!

  6. As someone that lived in Sicily I can say the mafioso is not what you would expect. They are not all like the movie the godfather, they are actually loved by the people. I did see money change hands, but they were often the good guys and more respected than the police. They take care of the community, do much for charity, and help those in need. I have an insight that nobody else can have, but I was a 18yr old kid that was just a drinking buddy.

  7. I have safe queens and get some great and amazing deals. You must know what you are looking at and must realize that modern polymer no matter how much you like it won't go up in value. They will still be injection molding them 20 yrs from now. Look for the classics and do your research and there is no reason you can't consider your collection an investment. Check the local shops regularly, pay attention to forums and you can do well. I have a few guns that are literally 1 of a kind museum pieces and paid less than a few hundred bucks for them. Just search around.
