  1. Chad, for that price I wouldn't be shooting them too much either. I've seen people get shot with them and it's pretty painful.

Yeah, they are a little pricey to use for practice. I would still like to shoot one or two, just to know what kind of recoil it produces, so I know what to expect if I ever did really have to shoot one.

From what I hear they are pretty painful, and pack a nice little punch, but some people can just brush them off like they never felt it...i guess it depends on how many drugs you use that day! ;) The way I figgure it, it takes under one second to rack the next round (#4 Buck) and be ready if the bean bag has no effect. I found this on youtube....feel free to fast forward to the 1:00 mark thats when it gets interesting. Enjoy

  2. Thanks guys...I might take you up on that mitch. I never thought of flushing out the grease from where it is supposed to be. Very good point. I spray Rem-Oil on the action, trigger assembly and everything else, then hit it with some air again to try and work it into everything, and get rid of any excess. But rem-oil will certainly not replace the grease thats belongs there. Thanks again for the help!

Now, how bout cleaning those .22 barrels?!?!?! Ughhhh lead sucks! I scrubbed the BBL with a bore brush, and hoppes #9 over and over and over again, and the patches were not getting any cleaner. They kept coming out gray. I even went to the point of plugging the barrel and filling it with hoppes, I let it sit over night, scrubbed it some more, and still had the same results. I love plinking, but hate the endless cleaning. I actually enjoy cleaning other guns that shoot brass, but the bulk pack lead shots are killing me. Any advice?

  3. So, I've decided to clean my guns at work, which is licenced in my name, (as well as the building and property) so I am legally allowed to posses them there, and even carry, which I do. I have air compressors on site, do you think its a bad thing to shoot air into the trigger assembly, bolt, and other moving parts after scrubbing and shooting some gun scrubber to flush it all out? Is it possible that I am doing more dammage than good? Could I be pushing dirt farther down into it? Or perhaps risking blowing things out of proportion?

  4. Ray Ray...I got them from cheaper than dirt, I will put a link at the bottom. They have several different less lethal rounds to choose from. Suprisingly enough I actually never shot one, so I could not tell you about the recoil  . I should shoot a few so I know what to expect if the need ever arises. They also have rounds with a bright dye loaded in them for ID purposes...pretty neat.

These are the ones I have:

  5. haha I feel the same way abount hunting. I shot a squirrel...went up to it, and said to myself...what the hell did I just do! I felt so bad. But oh well...some people just arent meant to hunt. My wife calls me a wimp, she hunted all her life with her dad. Its just not for everyone.

  6. haha Mr. Personality. I went there about 10 years ago, and dealt with him...vowed to never go back and never did. WHY on earth would you be so miserable?? Especially when you own a retail store...arent you supposed to be nice to customers? Or is that just a myth??

  7. Its a great rifle, one of my favorites. With the mags, I'm not sure if they will fit in any other rifles, I'm assuming not, because the mag well should be the same on my rifle as the other rifles listed.

Tony, I'm planning on sending them out tomorow, and yes, they should pay for shipping too, I'll see where I get. They did send me a return label and return form in the box. I read the fine print on the return form and it says, "all returns incur a $4.95 restocking fee" lmao...I hope they are kidding!! I cant see them doing that for a defective product. Oh well...we'll see what happens I guess.

It just aggrivates me ,... it seems that nothing I buy ever works! Now I have to go thru the hassles.

  8. I ordered 2 mags for my marlin .22 model 7000 from sportsmansguide.com . Finally got them in and they dont fit!!! I dont know, maybe its me...The description of the mag was , "Dependable performance! This high-capacity 15-rd. Mag fits Marlin

  9. The reason for a combo of buck and slugs is...buckshot is better for "close up" applications, and slugs are better if you want to reach out and touch someone, up to a certain point. I have ghost ring sights on my mossberg so it can be better aimed than one with a bead. Reason for the first shot being a bean bag round is, NJ loves to prosecute homeowners protecting themselves. With the first shot being a less lethal round, it looks better in court, not to mention, I dont actually want to take someones life unless I absolutely have to. If they dont get the point after being shot with the less lethal round then, to be blunt, it sucks to be them.

As for having "so many' weapons by the bed, well...we have no kids yet, we do have one on the way, so the gun arrangement will soon change. Long arms will go in the safe, and pistols will be placed in the biometric lock boxes. Anyway, on occasion I work late and she is home alone. Both her and I feel safer having one on my side and one on her side. Also, take another "for instance". It's 3:00 am a burgler is in the house, and standing over my side of the bed. By the time she wakes me up (I sleep thru anything) and I come to my senses, she can just as easily grab a 12 gauge which is within arms reach of her and do what she has to do.

Hey Ken...I NEEEED a flame thrower!!! Any Idea where I can pick one up??? hahaha

  10. I was lucky enought to marry a girl who's father was the range master at a police department, an avid hunter and gun collector. She has been around guns all her life and loves to shoot. Before she came along I have been in relationships with girls who didn't like guns. No matter how I tried to explain it to them, it just didn't sink in. I think for most LEGAL gun owners, our firearms mean alot to us. However funny it may sound, I think we take pride in caring for them, cleaning them, and preserving them. We pay alot of money for them, and for someone just to just not "get it" is like a slap in the face. I could live with my wife not "enjoying" them, but I could not live with her not "liking" them, or not allowing them in the house. Thats why my ex's are my ex's and thats also why I did this...
