I agree , it seems there was more police visibility when I was growing up then I see today.

I never said we have too many cops. I have no problem with the police.
Sue them or not if they don't show up , you are on your own.

You can't depend on police to respond even if you call them. courts have ruled Police have no duty to protect individuals. You don't see the words "to protect and serve" on police cars anymore.

I thought I wanted to go trap shpooting so I bought a browning over under trap gun which has never been shot. It is so damned pretty I just can't bring myself to shoot it.

I really don't like to rely on batteries in a potential life or death situation. Its the same reason I don't like guns that would recognize fingerprints , or work because you wear some sort of ring or something that activates the gun. It's another think that can go wrong at the worst possible time.

There are some areas in NJ where the peality for not carrying concealed could be worse then jail time.

It would be more appealing if the price was lower. If you add $180.00 to the price of and SKS their might be better options.

I also have a small child in the house and cannot leave a gun on the nightstand. I bought one of those mini gun safes but the batteries failed long before they should have making it useless without the key. So where do you put the key where a child won't find it ? In another safe ? Thats where mine is and that safe is a long way from the bedroom where I sleep. So I have not completely figured out the home protection thing yet.
