  1. I would recommend starting with pistol calibers.  They are much easier to learn the basics of reloading on.

No need for length trimming, lubing etc.

Also MUCH less force required to resize a 9 vs a 3006.  So it is easier to "get a feel" foe when something is wrong.

When reloading if something doesn't seem right, stop and triple check your setup.  Reloading is not hard, but if you make a mistake, very bad things can happen.

Thank you! I have ammo for the Ruger and the S&W so that should save me some money enough to rent 2 this trip. :)

Typically if you rent, you need to buy your ammo there.  They want to make sure you use factory ammo.  So as to minimize chance of a kaboom.

Also they make a little more money.

  3. The American Medical Association debated whether the country should be re-opened. Here are the results by medical specialty.

*Allergists were in favor of scratching the idea.
*Dermatologists advised not to make any rash moves.
*Gastroenterologists had sort of a gut feeling about it.
*Neurologists thought the administration had a lot of nerve.
*Obstetricians felt certain everyone was laboring under a misconception.
*Ophthalmologists considered the idea very shortsighted.
*Pathologists yelled, "Over my dead body!"
    *Pediatricians said, "Oh, grow up!
*Psychiatrists thought the whole idea was madness.
*Radiologists could see right through it.
*Surgeons decided to wash their hands of the whole thing.
*Internists claimed it would indeed be a bitter pill to swallow.
*Plastic Surgeons opined that this proposal would "put a whole new face on the matter.
*Podiatrists thought it was a step forward.
*Urologists were pissed off at the whole idea.
*Anesthesiologists thought the whole idea was a gas.
*Cardiologists didn't have the heart to say no.

In the end, the Proctologists won out, leaving the entire decision to the assholes in Washington.

  4. Not an electrician but have had enough shorts and Zaps to learn a thing or 2.

DO NOT DO IT!     If you are trying to run this using house wiring,  unless the 2 generators are in the proper phasing, (Available in electronically controlled output  gensets, Search "paralleling inverter generator") very bad things will happen.  Generator explosion, burning house wiring.  Essentially what you could have is the same as touching 2 legs of 220 circuit together.

You need to consider the neutral wiring as well as the "hot" legs.

If you are talking about plugging cords to individual appliances that should be no problem as long as the 2 gens are electrically isolated.  Ie AC gets plugged in Gen1  and Fridge gets plugged into Gen2.

Well this happened after Heller. I think this meant something, even if it wasn't as strong as we wanted. We have to consider what happens to other states and not just us.

Well what about us?  The supreme court decision that says the second is a personal right, changed ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in NJ.

Is there any chance for a civilian to get a carry permit?

How about not having to ask permission of the government to purchase a firearm?

How about not possibly getting a prison sentence for stopping to get a soda on the way to the range?

So what did we get?  Even more limited magazines.

This is my point exactly, a case will be need to be brought in front of the USSC (because we all know that NJ SC is a bunch of hacks) for EACH and EVERY aspect, taking years and years and hundreds of thousands of dollars for each case,  to get any relief from NJs unconstitutional laws.  And since the USSC instead of making a firm decision, wiffed with a milquetoast decision ("that certain firearms restrictions mentioned in District of Columbia v. Heller are assumed permissible and not directly dealt with in this case" so its a personal right but can be restricted on a whim. Somehow "Not infringed" == Restricted ) and keeps passing on each case brought before it.

Just FYI for those that don't know - most masks don't depend upon actual mechanical filtration (pore size smaller than the virus). The middle layer (on a real, medical-grade mask) is statically charged. This charge attracts particles that are small enough to get through the outer layer, and is why fit is so important; if you're sucking air in through the sides the static layer cannot do its job.  Most of the masks available to us are more to protect others.

And yes, I do wear a mask when I am out shopping or near others. If I am hiking I'll wear a bandanna around my neck, and bring it up to cover my nose and mouth when passing others on the trail. It's not that big a deal.

I have lost my father-in-law, a friend, and one of my wife's friends to this so far. It's very real. Don't be a putz. Wear a mask.

You know almost no one is wearing a medical grade mask right?

Yeah people get sick and die.  Sad, but people get sick and die from the common cold.  Did you wear a mask for the last say 20 flu seasons where > 1.5 million people died?

Don't buy into the hype.  Don't be a non thinking obedient sheep.

Well no one needs tobacco or alcohol to survive, and we would certainly save significantly more lives over what the chinese virus has done. We need food, maybe just ban junk food to help prevent obesity and diabetes and other associated illnesses.

Who said anything about stopping people speaking?   I'm talking about the spittle droplets full of virus flying out of your mouth as you're walking around babbling your bullshit.  Feel free to keep speaking, just keep your germs to yourself, again, how you go about it is your business.    See aforementioned plastic bag.

You have this mistaken idea that I want to keep everyone locked up forever.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  If we could stomp this virus and eliminate where it's at, it's done.    If we keep the virus where it is now, i.e. in the bodies of the people that have it, we can put this in the past.  If we all wore masks for a short period, track it down and clear it, it's over.    Of course, that's impossible because a good percentage of people, sociopaths mostly,  don't think we live in an interconnected world and can't be bothered.

I guess you did really bad on the SAT's.  How do you stop someone from saying something you don't like?   You don't,  either you don't listen or walk away.  You do not gag the speaker.

How do you stop someone from breathing something you don't like?  YOU take precautions or stay away, You don't gag them.

    See how that works.

You will never "Stomp this virus out"  It will always be there.  Until enough people build immunity to it to make it irrelevant, it will always be a risk.   Your stupid ass mask does nothing change this simple fact.

How dense to you really have to be to believe masks do anything?   How many nurses/doctors that are trained on proper use of PPE and were/ are using multiple pieces of PPE (faceguards, 2 masks, gowns, gloves etc) still got it.

How arrogant do you need to be to think you know better than them how to live their lives.

Feel free to move to a country more to your liking where individual rights mean nothing.  I suggest maybe China would be more to your liking.

PS: You can take your plastic bag and mask and shove them up your ass.  That way you are sure to cover your mouth,, and you wont spew anymore of your childish shit. oh and GFY.

Is it such an imposition to ask you to keep all of the mouth ejecta localized?   Talking droplets here, not vapors.   Not sure what that would have to do with drinking or smoking.  Knock yourself out in any event.

Yes.  If you are unable to live in a society the way it is THAT IS YOUR PROBLEM.  Not anyone elses.

I got an idea.  You are required to keep all your spittle to yourself?  Fair?  How you go about that is up to you, but you're not allowed to spread it all over.  That whole, "my rights end where yours begin"?   Ok, I'm in.    The same goes for you.  Your rights end at your mouth.  You keep your germs at your mouth, I'll keep mine at mine.

You could wear a mask, but that's such a great imposition for "muh freedom" types there's an even easier one.  Put a clear plastic bag over your head, zip tie it closedThose who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. at the neck.   Nothing on your mouth, no overheating, no "Sign of your submission" on your face it's perfect.  You can virtue signal that the government can't boss you around!  Your rights won't be infringed!   Plus you won't have to feel embarrassed about  wearing a mask, since that's what this is really about anyway.

I got an idea, hows about you dont say or right anything offensive to anyone else?  "Oh thats just plain silly" you dont like whats being said YOU take steps to not listen.  The other person dosnt stop speaking.

I would love to know who apointed you god, so you get to decide what is a "minor inconveience" for someone else?

As to the plastic bag, thats more your style bubble boy.

PeteF, Were they useless when they passed Heller & McDonald?

Imo,  yes.  What has changed after the decision?  Anything?  13 years later.

They should have had the balls to come out with a decision that says, yes the second means exactly what says. PERIOD.  Want to strip someones rights, guess what there is a procedure spelled out, it's called Due Process and its exercised on a individual basis.  Found quilty of a crime where the penalty is loss of a right, is a giant step from your right is denied because (insert favorite reason).

But since the decision includes "exception" language, it will take another case to challenge every possible variant on "exception". And since they have been ditching cases for 13 years...........
