Anyone buying precious metals as short term money maker needs to really be on the ball and know what they are doing.

Also investing a to large portions of one's assets in ANY single thing is probably a bad idea. On the other hand if you don't have a lot of it, this might be a good time

    agree

Gold for me is a hedge .. but volatility like this always gets my attention.

Does a declining price also effect what dealers charge over spot. Lets say silver is $17 an once and dealers are charging $1.50 over spot. If silver dives to $10 does the dealer then charge .75 over spot? How does dealer over spot prices work?

  2. I own both the Sig 226 and the S&W Shield in 9mm. Both are great guns. If I could only have one it would be the shield. The gun just does everything right.

However the 226 is no slouch. A big plus is the 22LR conversion kit. Provided you can find 22lr in stock it makes it cheaper to practice with.

  3. No I'm not having any problems nor do I want to sell my NJ home as my six year old lives 10 minuets away and she means more to me then anything in this world.

. I just hate NJ's gun laws. I walk into the gun store by my PA home and sitting in the case is a hard to find pistol I'm after. I'm saying I have to wait forever to get a permit then transfer it to and FFL and so on. The guy behind me says there are no more Magpul 30 round AR mags on the shelf so the dealer throws a full shipping box of them on the counter and bam 7 go out the door. Then five more minuets goes by and a guy comes in and asks the dealer what it takes to buy a 7 shot 375 mag pistol. The dealer says cash and a drivers liscence.

The guy replies oh thats it I never bought a gun before and buys it and walks out the door!!

So I'm saying to myself I live here(PA) for 22 years now and I cant buy a gun this way I want to be free and as I'm chatting up with the boys for the next 1/2 hour the dealer sells to AR's with all and I mean all the toys attached and one shotgun. So I'm just getting tired of being treated like a tax providing criminal by my home state of NJ. But I'm also a lifetime member to cherry ridge and enjoy shooting there. My time is spent friday through monday is in PA and the rest in NJ. I want to be a free American Citizen but yet retain my right to lawfully own firearms in NJ.

I want to get a PA drivers Lic but maintain my NJ FID.

  4. They don't care

They dont want to be bothered with any hassles. Ammo sells out in 2 seconds of being posted so it's not like they are hurting for a sale. Thats the nature of living in NJ. But at least when you do find a stand up company you can get it shipped.  In NY they only can dream of such things. Just remember these clowns and when the market gets competative again(if ever) dont buy from them no matter what. I do the same with Bank of America . I got rid of my Mortage and credit cards with them. They are a bunch of blood suckers and money launderers.LOL

  5. Sounds fishy to me now that I read that article again. How can an "anonymous caller" see a gun sitting on someone's lap in a van? You'd have to be standing by the driver's window looking down. Were the calls recorded?

Probable scenario: cops saw a black guy who was behaving "suspiciously" while seated in a van, and they hit the jackpot.

Excuse me while I go watch a few YouTube vids on how to refuse a search. "Am I free to go officer, or am I being detained?"

I have to agree . Its like when they say I pulled the car over cause it crossed the middle of the road and upon walking up to the car got a strong smell of...

However I have no problem with a hunch by a veteran cop . Its up to us to know our rights.

  6. Buy a honda mower. Buy a Echo PAS detachable head weed whacker . You can then buy different attachments for it like a tree prunner and edger.

If you can try and find the mower used. I bought a used Scag zero turn mower about six years ago. I took my time in finding a good used one and it holds it value.

Buy smart and buy once buy cheap and buy over and over again.
