    Just picked up my 1st Mosin 91/30 yesterday. I was able to strip it down and cleaned all cosmo off the metal parts.

    Now on to the stock...

    Is it possible to take that bolt that runs through the stock out?

    And does anyone know if I can use a minwax stain and then a coat of tru oil? Or should I use something else?

    I'm sure I'll have more questions as I go...but thanks for any help.

    Ballisticsupply.net. I spoke with the owner an they said they were unable to ship ammo to NJ due to BAFTE regs.

     

    Does anyone know why that would be? I can't find anything on it.

    I've ordered 50 cal ammo from ammuntiontogo.com and Cheaperthandirt.com with no issues.

    Update: well I was told it shipped on 1/14 and to call for a tracking # on Monday. I finally got the # today after the run around all week.

     

    And now for the kicker.... I just looked it up and it was created while on hold with them and has yet to ship.

    Does anyone know if the Insight M2 is compatible with the HK Mark 23? I'm looking for a light option without having to add an adapter. All that I've researched on it says it will work with the USP but nothing mentioned about the Mark 23.

    I went with Lancaster. Ordered a milled AKM 3060 in Russian Red. (order placed in August) Iam still waiting on shippment... Have to say that working with them has been terrible. I keep getting the run around. They have quality AKs, but the customer service sucks!

     

    I'll update when I get the rifle.
