I'll shoot you guys a PM or text and we'll set something up to abuse the VP9 in the next month or so.
-
That was basically my thought process. I could have waited for the smaller dealers to get them in stock and paid 50-100 bucks less but it would probably take 3-6 months. A $100 fee to get mine first was worth it.
-
plus tax, nics obviously. any other fees?
Nope. Tax and Nics only.
-
$675 with standard sights, $775 with night sights.

Wear'd ya find one? Local or?
I got to put in for more permits first...

You have a VP9 already?
Yup.

I like having twins of certain ones... one to shoot the s**t out of and one to keep as my EDC/go-to-defensives in these cases. If a certain HK group buy ever happens I'll probably get 2 more HK45's out of that. And even though I'm not a striker fired guy I *might* get a VP9 eventually.
9mm.
I'm not 100% sold on getting rid of the twin yet. they each serve specific rolls right now and I'm not sure if I can/should combine them. (one is a range gun, the other is my PA EDC and bump-in-the-nightstand gun)
We'll have to get together at SCFGPA so you can try out my VP9
And, definitely interested in the SK if you decide to sell. Ignore Bry@n

What caliber SK... I may take it off your hands.

Who says glocks are ugly? Me.

How about that Umbrella Grip ---
Do you notice the more upright angle?
Is it soft like a Hogue or hard like a magpul?
Not to step on Vlad's toes... but at his recommendation I went to all-upright grips for my ARs and find them to be significantly more comfortable when shooting squared up to the target. I chose the BCM Mod 0 in order to have storage in the grip. The BCM is textured hard plastic.

I didn't think HK offered night sights, just the glow in the darks...
They could take some pink airsoft sights, sprinkle them with glitter, and put them on the gun and I would still buy it.
-
I'm still waiting until a dealer I trust tells me they have one. I would also prefer night sights but I'm not going to be picky.
-
that didn't really look like a short reset
Yeah PPQ looks shorter.
No care, still buying it.
Me too!

sites that have it posted
Hyatt Guns (Special Order - says 4-6 weeks for delivery)
Knesek Guns (says in stock)
So I assume our local guys should be able to order it too.
Someone hurry up and get one so I can decide
Guys on the HK forum mentioned that Knesek has a history of saying they have stuff in stock and then changing orders to "backordered" for months before delivery, and people have had issues getting orders canceled and refunded. I'll be waiting until a NJ dealer gets their sticky paws on it before plunking down the cash.

wont stop the glock fan boys, they are about as bad as the H&K fan boys
No one is as bad as the HK fanbois.

Glock, fraud, money laundering, oh my!
...The indictment alleges Ralph secretly paid executives of Glock to receive preferential treatment over other distributors of firearms, including directing potential customers to his company, giving his company priority access to limited products, steering government contracts and sales to government agencies of firearms and accessories to his company, and providing confidential Glock information to him....

HK, because you suck, and we hate you.

How does firing a striker-based pistol differ from firing one with a hammer? I understand the mechanics of how they're different but was curious how that affects the "feel" by the user.
One of the big advantages is that the trigger has the same feel for every round. With a DA/SA trigger you get a heavy first pull and a light second.
The LEM trigger is a good way to achieve this with HK pistols, but I am very excited for their first modern striker fired design.

Heads up NJ dealers. You get this in stock, I'll buy it.

I have a lot of once fired .223 brass that did not require trimming. On the other hand, all my once-fired 5.56 brass required trimming.
