I spoke to Dave Cope directly. He was NOT familiar with the new rules. Actually thought we all were good for two years. He did know the issue was in court.
He told me to hang on for two weeks and check back.

FYI. Here is the list of licensed mfgrs. But consider: Arsenal / Las Vegas is on the list and they import the Saiga AK.

So NJ gun shops have and have had a bunch of inventory on the shelf that is illegal?

Anybody know?
1. What exactly does the State Park thing mean? NJAC7:2-2.17(b). Carry or not?
2. Can I conceal carry at a WMA? (Yes no handgun shooting there.)
Thanks.

Hello Folks,
Anybody know anything about this place, any experience? It is up north Jersey.
Is it a range? training center? I did view the web site. Looks expensive. Guess I am looking for hands on info.
Thanks.

Help!! Been using IMR4895 for 308WIN for ages. Now cannot find it.
Any equivalents out there but something that is available. And maybe where you bought it??
Thanks.

A while back I saw this burly guy in Dunkin Donuts with a gun on his hip = OPEN. He also had a shirt that said FBI. No badge that I could see. So being ignorant I believed it all. Nobody else said anything either.
So when you get your carry permit in NJ and want to Open Carry...... wear a blue shirt with a Boy Scout patch, some silver or brass buttons, etc. Or do the FBI stunt. If you don't go overboard you are good to go - no impersonating an officer.
I am only half kidding. LOL.

S2906 I read it but understand it???
Is my existing FID card grandfathered from the training crap?
And when does it now expire if ever?
Thx.
(BTW thx for posting the list.)

I actually agree with you. (I have some oddball reasons. HA!) Thanks for answering.

Anybody have any info...
Is there a semi auto 22LR handgun suitable for CCW? Obviously also would need a suitable holster.
Tnx.

Yes that was John. A tough and fair and nice guy. He had problems with club management. I think he became an enemy of the state! LOL.

CJRPC WAS a great place to shoot rifle. They had all sorts of training and shooting events at the 300 yard range. I was not even a member. Then it all went poof!! Basically dead.

Anybody know for sure? Is this cancelled or not?
Thx.

Anybody know the hours of this shop in Stockertown, PA.
Thx.

Yes I heard this on NBC, CNN, MSNBC. Opening Range 14 is going to wipe out The Joint Base, Cookstown and Browns Mills. We are all gonna DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There are many old dudes (like me) that hang out at Range 14. Just think, Young Ones, if the old ones get IT, you will get a table sooner. No waiting.
Sorry for the sick humor but I am just tired of all the experts and politicians and their expert opinions and their modeling. HAHA. The only accurate model I know of is the plastic F4 Phantom on the shelf in my family room. The half life of a CDC model is about 20 minutes. It wrong before the ink dries.
I heart venting. LOL.

Range 14 is ruled by the Base Commander. They don't have to obey/follow Murphy.
The question: does the BC have any common sense?

Thanks for the clarification to dajonga. Knowing only part of the law can be trouble!! Guilty as charged.

May I add to the confusion.
When discussing this subject don't just say guns. Rules are different for long guns and handguns.
And how about this. If you have an FID card you can legally have a long gun in the trunk always, anytime, forever. No range or repair trips need be involved. No club membership.

That is the Federal guide. See PUBLIC SAFETY section.
Murphy changed his tune after this came out. Gun ranges are also included.
Peace.

It is all pure bullshit. Private ranges closed. WMA ranges closed. All gun shops closed.
Bullshit bullshit bullshit.
Kind regards.

Referring way way back to the beginning of this. Each person has to evaluate laws for himself. Decide which ones apply, that you care about, that you might get caught breaking, etc.
So bottom line. I broke the law. I break the law. I will break more laws.
Be careful out there.
Kind regards.

There are NO GOOD REASONS for this crap.

11 hours ago, RUTGERS95 said:I readily admit to not being a long range shooter and would really like to get into that more. I dabbled in MO but in NJ it's not easy obviously.
My dad was a DI when I was younger. By the time I was 10 I could field strip an AR and had shot everything they had at Ft Dix so I learned early on. I teach my sons the same way I was taught and that is controlled breathing, finger position and pull, rifle adjustment in the 'pocket', irons until proficient and then add in windage parameters regardless of if wind or not so they learn. I think my 10yr old will be the best of the house as he is freaking deadly with his 452. We shoot in the long pits and I have them prone on mats or sit position shooting spent shotgun shells from 25 and 50yds. This winter they are building their first ARs with me so aside from skiing on weekends, we'll still have some 'gun fun' time lol
if you ever want to join me there, please come and we'll make day or half day of it
The 'long pits' are at Central Jersey? Not familiar. I do know John Donald there. I shoot his 300 Any Rifle and have done some Hi Power.

2 minutes ago, RUTGERS95 said:he said sling or rest. popping your rig in a rest and shooting moa at 300 (provided you've got the hardware) is not difficult. Hell, my 12yr old son was knocking the $hit out of a 6" gong on the berm at sjrpc which is 330.
no, not difficult and it shouldn't be for anyone as 300 is the minimum distance one should be proficient in
No arguments. You are correct. Thanks.
