  1. IIRC, Egg Harbor Township's ref letters pretty much ask the same charachter related questions as STS 33. Something to the effect of, "How long have you known the applicant? Do you know anything that shows the applicant isn't safe enough to handle a firearm (I'm not sure of the wording but its something like that)."

Its only like 5 or 6 yes or no questions. If I can get my hands on one, i'll be glad to help!

  2. My friend and I made our first (of many) trips to Shore Shot today and like the others her, we were VERY IMPRESSED! First off, thanks to Kyle for the discount prices, and thanks to all the other staff for their time and help! The rental selection was EXCELLENT! We rented the Glock 19, M&P 9, and the Sig P226. My friend also bought his XD 9mm. Of all those I shot today, the SIG P226 was such a dream to shoot. The trigger was soooooo smooth and the sights were AMAZING! The M&P was a great gun to shoot as well. Trigger was really nice and the sight picture was awesome. Now, the Glock. Glocks feel funny in my hand. That grip angle takes some getting used to. But once I actually shot it, I can see what all the hoopla about them is about. I will be purchasing one later lol. My friends XD is amazing too but it had the most recoil of all the guns. To me, it had the second best sight picture though so it was pretty accurate. All in all, I was best with the P226 and I liked that one the best too.

This was my first group at 5 yards with the Sig. Yes, I could have done better but its my second time shooting ever lol!

  3. I have em all. I think COD BA is better than BC2. I could never get used to the jerky non linear movement of BC2.

Not trying to start a flame war or anything like that but BF2's movements are hardly linear or jerky IMHO. Its movements are buttery smooth compared to Crap of Dooky Black Ops lolololol!

Also, prone is coming to consoles too in BF3.

  4. Hey Shore Shot, do us forum members get a discount on the 10 pass membership? And is the 10 pass membership treated like an annual membership (just in those ten visits). Reason I ask is I live an hour away and may not be able to make it out there as much as I'd like so the 10 Pass might be better for me.

  5. Guys, do yourselves a big favor. First, take your COD Black Ops dics out of your game system. Next, place the game disc on your coffee table. Next, go get yourself a cold one. Next, take a few chugs. Next, rest your cold on on the COD Black Ops disc and use as a coaster. Do this while thinking of how much fun you are going to have playing BATTLEFIELD BAD COMPANY 2 in a few hours after the beer is out of your system and you can go buy it from Gamestop :icon_mrgreen:

But seriously guys, Battlefield Bad Company 2 is INFINITELY better than Black Ops. Once I played Battlefied, I haven't played Black Ops since! Its just that much better!

Check out this vid. Its pretty funny!

  6. My grandfather was a Mason. I have his rings and mugs and plates and whatnot. Never discussed it with him and other than the branded stuff, he never showed any signs of affiliation. But, when he died, there was a Mason aspect to the funeral. It was all a bit vague to me.

I did a lot of conspiracy theory research on the Internet and the Masons are front and center with the Illuminati and other ancient fraternities. It is very New World interesting.

Did you all see the Simpson's Stonecutter episode? That is a good send up of the Masons and conspiracy wackos.

One thing you realize (on your own 99% of the time) when you join is that all the conspiracy theories on the net are complete hogwash. These conspiracy nuts think we're in meetings plotting on who will run and win the presidency when we are really arguing about who is going to buy the cooking oil for next weeks fish fry or the noodles for the spaghetti dinner.

  7. I agree with the comment about letting one of the military Tenors do it and have that money go to the wounded vets fund or something similar. I too dislike it when these stars jazz it up like they do. This is one song that should be kept original. Cristina Aguillera completely destroyed the song. I really did mute it when I realized she sung her own version. I don't even watch the halftime shows anymore. But the one for this Superbowl stunk worse than that liquid that spills off of trash trucks on humid summer days.

  8. fair enough.. like I said swapping uppers is the only upside IMO...

with that said I do not personally do any 22 shooting.. nothing wrong with it.. just not my thing.. If we were talking complete firearms novice.. or smaller framed person who was gun shy.. then yes.. a 22 upper OR 22 AR would be a great choice.. but having met him.. and having read this thread.. it seems that he is more looking for a gun that would function as a mid range rifle.. a rifle that is economical and fun to shoot... an AK "STYLE" gun fits that role.. precision paper punching.. 150+yards.. higher end optics... would more than likely be lost on an AK "STYLE" gun.. but as a main go to gun.. one that will never fail.. the AK "STYLE" gun would be my choice..

I swear you guys read my mind :icon_mrgreen: This is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. I've never shot a rifle before, only a shotgun and pistols. I'm gonna check for the next rifle class and sign up for that and take you up on your offer Vlad :icon_mrgreen:

Dirtydigz, when I get accustomed to long guns, I will eventually get into building my own AR type or AK type if feasible.

BRN169, I've heard about the Mini 14. How do they hold up? Are they fairly reliable?

Also fellas, what about the Sig 556? Are they considered AR or AK type guns? How does that one stack up against the AK?
