  1. I got some pyrodex pellets to try (only 20 bucks, worth a shot hehehe) no caps to be found at cabelas though. And the customer service was a bit lacking tonight.

Where's a good place to find caps? All they had were 209 caps, and got blank stares when asking about 210 caps.

I'll definitely have to get a a capper too before I do anything.

  2. NICE and congratulations!  Is this your 1st one or are you GTG and know everything ya need to make it work right, clean it, etc.?  I'm available for phone consult if needed.

    Dave

First one! I ordered some wads and waiting on those to come in. Going to back to Delaware on Sunday and pick up some powder and try and find caps.

    Any recs on powder?

  3. So, I went a bit crazy after Christmas and had some cash to get rid of. So no better time to go to cabelas! When I got there, I realize I forgot my Fid (like a dumbass). Not wanting to come home empty handed, I started looking at cap and Ball and muzzle loading guns. Ended up walking out with a Pietta 1860 New Army in 44 cal (along with another 150 dollars worth of ammo for my other toys).

  4. So after almost 2 months of waiting, I got my holster!

I ordered the left hand SA-XD 9 model and got exactly what I wanted. Ordered the standard paddle for it for an extra 10 dollars.

I haven't had much time to play with it, but this thing is immeasurably better than the stock piece of plastic that comes with the gun. I love the retention strap, and adjustable level of retention on the holster it's self. It stays close to the hip and doesn't sag or move like the stock holster did. It honestly feels like there's no weight on my side.

I'm suitably impressed by this holster. And by G-code's communication during the build process. If I get another pistol, I would not hesitate to order another holster from them.

  5. Looking at picking up a G-code holster for my XD9. The price is right, I like the retention system they have and they're making their holsters for lefties (which is a must for me). Does anyone have a G-code holster and want to give me their opinion?

  6. We use damp-rid in the pharmacy because our hvac units drip water through the ceiling.

It works. Very, very well. Depending on how moist the safe is, you can get as little as 2 weeks, or as long as a couple months before changing. Best part is, they're at the dollar store.

  7. Farxiga, Belviq, and Contrave should be your absolute last option. Not only are the side effects hinky, but they are very costly. Some insurances won't cover them, or they're tier 3 and cost upwards of 300 dollars for a 30 day supply.

If you want to go for surgery you HAVE to be committed to making the life style change work for you otherwise you'll be miserable.

Your best option is changing your diet. Instead of processed sugars, start getting fruit. Cook with fresh veggies, cut down on carbs and fried foods. Slow changes are better than fast ones. Start by just replacing one or two things at a time, you'll be amazed at the difference it makes.

  8. It took me two tries to get the length right for mine. Started off with position three but felt to cramped up. Drilled and re pinned to position six and it's perfect for me.

    I'm 5'10" and shoot bladed.

My advice on pinning is once you get the length set, drill through the stock first and mark the metal then take the stock off and drill your hole for the pin.

  9. My contract with sprint is up in September. I'm going to switch to Verizon and probably get the droid turbo.

I have a iPhone 5, and liked it but wouldn't go out of my way and spend the money for one. Only reason I have it now is a free promotional thing from sprint when I signed up

  10. You can borrow mine if you like. Just send it back when you are finished with it...

I appreciate the offer. But I like collecting gun books lol.

Thats the complete parts list. The kits are just pins and springs. Easier to group them together like that than to buy piece by piece. Also working on the patience. My current career path is force feeding me patience dealing with the general public.

If you have spare time on the weekends and you have money to burn you should start shooting competitions. There is one almost every Sunday and its always a good time getting out and making fun of each other. Steel marches, USPSA, Idpa, knock down on Saturday's at Old Bridge once a month.

This is something I want to get into. Just need the proper gear first.

Also got the free brownells 1911 catalog. Waiting for the next check to get the 1911 bible.
