I am definitely interested in trying a dak version of the sig. I have shot a friends 229 in .40 but that was the standard da/SA

I have the same issue. Double action only for off duty carry. Looking to get a 229 or 226 dak. Didn't know the 239 came dak
If you want you are welcome to come down to BA sometime and shoot my 229 with the DAK

Unless your duty P229 also uses the DAK system, I'd pass on it for your off-duty gun. Keep the operating systems the same (DAK / DAK, DA/SA / DA/SA, DAO / DAO etc) so you can make use of the muscle memory you have developed with the P229.
Is there a particular reason you're considering the DAK?
If your duty P229 is DAK, then go for it.

No my duty is USP with the LEM which I hate. My off duty is a P229 with the DAK, the reason for the DAK is my department only allows us to carry double action only and I'm actually a fan of it.

I believe mag capacity in Maryland is 20, so it would not be a problem.
Yea for some reason I thought Maryland was 12, and to the other responses, I figured as much I'll just purchase some 10 rounders for my off duty as I traditionally go to NYC around Christmas for the tree and such.

To the other LEO's on the forum does anyone have any info on this; like if I were to go to Maryland carrying a 15 round magazine is that potentially a chargeable offense. I can't really seem to find any info on the topic.

If you haven't bought a barrel yet I might have one for you I got a steal on a 600AT (Mossberg 500 subbed out to New Haven) I'll ask the guy but I'm pretty sure it comes with a 28" and 26" barrel I'd be happy to sell you one when I buy it do I can get an 18.5" for HD

M&P, HK USP, Sig, CZ. Can't go wrong with any of em.
My only complaint with HK is the travel on the trigger seems like "forever" I'm a total lover of Sig... Sadly I bought a Glock 22 off a forum member as an impulse buy a while back than it sat in the safe I just shot it for the first time yesterday and I remembered why I didn't like my uncles 5 years ago, sadly this piece will either go back to the safe or possibly find a new home

Having both, the S12 is just pure fun. Depending on how its configured you can do both.
