Here's an idea instead of banning guns why not just make the penalties for using a gun in a crime more strict. How about a 3 strike and you're locked up for good law? Why have this revolving door of criminals? It's amazing these guys are in and out of prison so quickly yet thabks to mandatory sentencing the guy that gets caught with a little weed sits in jail for years. Our criminal justice system is broken.

He recently applied for his first permit to purchase and the Bayonne police went to his neighbor's house and started asking questions about him (if he lived there etc...no mention of guns). He didn't put the neighbor down as a reference. Is this normal for bayonne pd?

Thanks guys It's actually been an honor to help people out. I've met a lot of great people that will be my friends for life. Wish there was more I could do. I made it through the storm without much hassle. What I saw in Staten Island is something I'll never forget. The power of nature's fury was scary as hell.

Only part I disagree with is the NRA subsidized bit. That's like making driving instructors pay for drunk driving education.

On the other hand there are many instructors (GFH for example) that have offered to teach the teachers for free.

 

The way I see teachers could train during their summer months. Why not have them trained at the same facilities the police use?

It does seem that he received a letter from the state that his mother was looking to have him committed. He got the letter just a couple of days before he went off. Hence, 4 rounds to the face. I wonder if anyone from the state is being held accountable on this? Or, if they are looking to change policy.

 

Looks like the state did it's job in denying him purchase, but failed on several other counts.

Unfortunate I doubt we'll ever hear the answers to most of your questions. Probably because they'll distract from the anti-gun agenda. If I were a betting man I'd bet the house he was on or withdrawing from some sort of psychiatric medication.
