  1. I have bought plenty of ammo at the Walmart by neshaminy mall never asked for my ID. Unless this just started in past week

It must have just started. I was passing by for a work trip and stopped in for a wth moment. They were out of everything, so not wanting to go home empty handed grabbed a case of shot shells. Before ringing it up, he said I need to see your dl to make sure you are from PA. He said store management is limiting sales to Pa residents only.

  2. I was at first also looking at the Raging Judge Magnum. Gives you 454, 45lc, and 410 shot. It is a large heavy revolver, so much that it turned my two sons off. Then I realized if I shot 454, they would be done after 2 rounds. The 410 shot is a lot of fun, but 45lc is expensive. Take a look at the Governor, you do lose 454 but you gain 45acp. This gives you shotgun fun for something different, and something you can use in idpa/uspsa (using the same 45acp calibur if you have a1911).

  3. I use these (the 31 NRR rated ones)...

...and only these - indoors or out. Still sounds loud but the intensity is less - don't know how else to put it. They are an acquired taste, but they are very comfortable for long wear and don't get in the way of anything.

    Adios,

I have these also, they are great. No batteries, can hear a conversation, great noise reduction. I use mine only for outdoors, a bit too loud for me indoors. Keeps your ears cool in the hot sun, unlike the full muffs.

  4. But where does the money go? It comes back to America. It doesn't go to Mexico, China or Japan. ;-)

The money does not come back to America, the taxes to bring it back is too high. The workers in the other countries that build the cars spend their money in their country. The only thing we get is the sales tax, which we pay, not the company. The Americans that build the Toyotas and Hondas are the ones that help our country.

  5. ....

Nick, the M&P9 Pro was a 5" barrel.

Speaking of the M&P9 Pro, i submitted a price request on the forum requesting the 5" barrel and 15 rd mags. I have 2 replies so far saying they are not available for this model. I thought i read on another newbie thread on here (which was very helpful by the way) a list of 9mm pistols with which models were available with 15 rd mags and thought they were available for the M&P9? I know i should not believe everything i read on the forum, but if anyone can help me figure out how to get or be requesting for the 15rd mags on this pistol i would appreciatte it. Is there a special model number not listed on S&W website?

Correct, the MP9 Pro has a longer barrel. S&W does make a factory 15 round mag for it that is available sporadically. When I was recently shopping for one, I had no luck on the forum requests. My other option was to purchase online, either without any mags, find someone to swap for 10 rounders, or ship to a ffl that could block the 17 into 15. All of these options drove up the price. I went to Heritage, since they have a store in PA. They were able to get it for me, they swapped the mags for 15 rd at no extra charge, and the experience was cheaper overall than buying out of state.

Good luck with whatever you get, they are all great choices.
