Douche. LOL!

Where'd the poll go?

If what I've read regarding the requirement for microphones to always be on and that it must connect to the Internet at fixed intervals is true, I will never allow an Xbox One in my house, simply for privacy concerns.

I believe you're still ok with NH, but check here to be sure: http://www.attorneygeneral.gov/crime.aspx?id=184

SO jealous! Enjoy freedom, I'm sure it's wonderful. :-)

Unless with your initial license "application" you used your P.O. Box, a certain database will still display your address, and the change of address. When you look at mine, I can still see the address I lived at 10 years ago in the database.
One reason I don't want Amateur Radio license plates...a determined road rager could track me down
Which database displays past addresses? I'm interested in looking at it.

I'd like to remind some folks that this is a gun forum, and by giving out your Ham call sign on here, most of the time you are also giving out public access to your home address. Put two and two together and....voila criminals and anti-gunners have your address.
+1
That's why my call sign is associated with my PO Box.

Agreed.
KY
I have to disagree. Astroglide all the way.

I am one week away to the day from leaving NJ to my new home in the Carolina's.
Congratulations on escaping to America! Cherish and enjoy your freedom!

I think an informal net would be a good idea. I can work 2, 10, 12, 15, 17, 20 and 40 meters.

Amateur Radio operator here as well. K2WHO http://www.qrz.com/db/K2WHO
I also play bass in a cover band: http://13thfloorband.com/

....... This sort of crime needs to happen to the judges and politicians in this state.......
They're connected and can get a carry permit. They are uninterested in us common folks.

Submitted June 7th. Got the call June 10th.

e80hydro,
Can you shit me out some IMR-4895?
Best first post EVER. :-)

as illustrated in those pics.. one large chunk of lead at HD distances...
Well, at 6 yards the Flight Control round looks like one chunk of lead. With the "regular" 00 buck you can count the individual pellets. But it's still a tight group.

Check out this review of Federal Flight Control #1. Very impressive. http://www.theboxotruth.com/docs/bot56.htm

Congrats, sweet little shooter! I have my Dad's MK1 from the mid 1960's. Great gun. Enjoy it!

There was a case in Florida if memory serves where a Dr. asked his patient to find a new Doctor. She refused to respond to some questions and he felt uncomfortable treating someone who he felt wasn't being forthcoming with info that might affect his treatment. He treated her that day and then sent a letter informing her that she needed to get a new Doctor and gave a fairly long period of time to do so.
He was sued and prevailed.
Doctors are a business and have the right to accept who they want as patients. Their oath prevents them from denying treatment in an emergency, but as far as cultivating a base of patients, they certainly can refuse someone...discriminatory reasons notwithstanding.
As an example my doctor stopped accepting medicare patients in 2006. I assume if they paid out of pocket she'd see them.
Very interesting. Well, I suppose it's a case by case thing. My guess is that most doctors would not refuse to have you as a patient, but my other guess is that most people answer questions like these without a second thought.
-
can they refuse treatment if you refuse to answer any of the questions? 'cause to be honest........i don't see myself answering anything that doesn't directly relate to why i'm there.
Nope. The last several times either I or an immediate family member has gotten a physical, we've been handed (among other forms) a questionnaire entitled "Environmental Scan". That's the form that asks about firearms in the home. The first time I got it, I asked if it was required info. The Dr. said no, so I either refuse to fill it out, or simply mark the irrelevant sections "N/A". Sometimes part of the form asks about family medical history, so I fill that out. I feel that the sections that ask about my personal possessions are incredibly intrusive.

To the OP: Your family sounds like the overwhelming majority of people in NJ. Gun owners are a tiny minority of the population here. Gun ownership is not normal at all in this state, and that is by design. By law, it is illegal to possess any firearm in NJ, unless you are exempt from said law. It's all backwards here. NOBODY has any 2nd Amendment rights here. That right is denied to everyone unless they have an FID. So it isn't surprising that your family reacted the way they did, especially if their only exposure to firearms is via movies, TV shows, and the liberal media.
Congrats on waking up and doing the best you can within the unbelievably severe restrictions we live under in NJ.

The only data I had was from this poll: http://www.washingto.../ownership.html
And in most places it probably is less. Those of us down here in Free NJ throw the curve for the rest of you. I bet 80% of my neighbors (maybe more) own guns.
That poll shows 12.3%, which is probably in the ballpark. You may have misread it as 23%
-
23% of NJ homes have guns!Great post, but I'm wondering where you got this number from. Nearly 1 in 4 NJ households have a gun? I was under the impression it was more like 1 in 10 or a bit less.

C) Require valid government issued photo ids during firearm transactions.
Isn't that already a requirement?

I doubt RRA will have a true 5.56 chamber. Could be the issue...
My RRA Elite CAR A4 has a 5.56 chamber, it feeds and extracts anything I've run through it, including Wolf.

Only a handful of states require something as unconstitutional as an FID, so I don't see a "national model". I hope there's never anything like that.
