  1. The XD mod 2 SC is a very comfortable gun to shoot even in .40. I agree it feels very nice in the hand.  Because of the XD mod 2 and the VP9sk I stopped buying Glocks. If you come across an HK VP9sk at a good price its worth taking a look at too. The VP9sk is so comfortable and so nice to shoot I just bought another one. Congrats on the free state move.   I love walking into a gun store in a free state.  I'm like a kid in a candy store.

G19 is the best “do-everything” Glock out there.

But the best shooting Glock, IMO, is the G34.

I agree with underdog, getting the .40 version and spending a little more on conversion barrels gives you a lot of options. However, if you are only ever going to shoot 9mm and don’t stock .40S&W and .357sig it isn’t really helpful.

For me its the G26 Gen4.  I like it for its small size. For some reason I shoot the 26 best. followed by the G32.

  3. Hit the range and rent a few. I liked Glock until I took my CC class and shot an XD on the live fire part of the class. Glocks are great if they fit your hand. The XD mod 2  and The HK VP9sk fit my hand like a glove.  Rent a few different guns before you buy.

He is a sociopath.  When one has no  conscience, they have nothing to fret over.  They are the most dangerous and unpredictable people because there are often no signs of a mental defect.

Without a doubt. There's a lot of them out there.

I did too. couldn 't make out most of what was written on them. I kept backing up to see if I could make out things he said too, but again not able to. the music he had playing otw there though.....holy hell was that bad stuff.

What he has written on the weapons and magazines must have some meaning maybe in another language.  The music was NOT my taste for sure.  Whats very frighting is there are people like him walking among us.  Calm and deadly

also....anyone who watched the video....did you notice the gas cans in his trunk?

Yes I was wondering about that too. The red plastic cans.  What surprised me was how calm he was. He had the radio playing music on the way.  He drove normal.  He just walked casually down the street.  I kept stopping the video trying to read the writing on the weapons.  How he could act so calm carrying out such a horrible act is beyond me. Pure evil.

Thank you, been here since the house was built in 2013. It was new construction. Love the wide canal and mangroves out back framing the awesome sunsets.

Where your at is great.  You'll never have to worry about anyone building behind you. You home value will just keep going up on that street.  I like driving down Surfside at night looking at how nice the homes look lit up. Beautiful landscaping.  I tried to copy the lighting package on your street.  We just built this year.

  8. I took a 2 hour drive north up to the Tampa Florida fair.  Before I left I checked the Fair web page for their policy on CC. I found very little. After we parked the car I was standing at the main entrance ticket booth and noticed metal detectors and a few deputies. I walked up and asked if concealed weapons were permitted on the fair grounds.   He asked if I had one. I told him I did and he asked for my CWFL.  He got on his radio and ran the number. It came back with my full name and he said follow me around the line and the metal detectors.  He than said have a nice day.  I waited for my wife and noticed other deputies escorting others around the line as well.   Very professional law enforcement agency.

Once the well is full, where does the water go?

I never seen them fill. The're two of them. One on each side of the parking lot. What they are are deep wells that have stone at the bottom. The water runs into the grates from the parking lot then flows into the wells than is released back into the ground.  Nothing goes into the city sewers

To get my FL resident CWP, and that's calendar days. I could have used my DD214 as the training requirement, but decided to take a class at my local range. Was worth it from a learning the actual law POV. It also confirmed how completely fucked up NJ is after reading all of the Florida law on firearms.

Now have to figure out what to get/buy for carry here. The instructor carried a full size M&P 9 in a kydex IWB holster made by a local.  But he works in a gun shop full time. What works for hre rest of you?

I like pocket carry. My G42 fits nice in the front pocket. Feel's like a cell phone. Another plus for pocket carry  is when using a public restroom.  You don't have to worry about your weapon like IWB.  Every once in a while you read a story about a gun being left behind.

  11. I visited the Ft. Myers gun show today and tasted freedom.  I walked from booth to booth looking at everything from firearms to parts to cleaning equipment, Ammo, safes, and clothing.  Even CC classes were being offered.  Two and a half hours went by in the blink of an eye.  I walked outside to get something to eat and people watch.   I watched men an women young and old walking around with all types of rifles and firearms. I could't help but think about home and how our politicians have  brainwashed the public.  I looked at those many people and didn't see not a hint of a problem.  I felt safe there.  On the way home I passed by all the advertisements for the show.  Freedom sure did taste good. Well for a little longer anyway.

I will have to shoot it again but for me, the recoil on the 48 and 43x seemed far harsher than on a 19, despite not being that much smaller. Hence why would go 19.

    will have to try again.

The two tone is definitely cool though.

Agree on the G43.  The smallest 9mm I like at the range is my G26.  I find the G19 and the G26 to feel about the same in recoil.  Anything smaller I prefer .380.  If Sig releases the P365 in .380 I'm going to trade my G43 in.
