  1. So it says all AR types, then provides a list of manufactures, so if I have a aero precision lower is that still ok since it's not on the list? Or no since it falls under all AR types.

This stuff is always written so vaguely.

Of course it is written that way. They don't even know. Its black, funny looking, and dangerous, an will keep me in the news to get re-elected (ever notice Schumer on NY News on every Sunday Night?).

Yes its banned. ALL AR types. If looks like an Ar, smell like an AR, etc!

  2. Who do we know that is a 2A Supporter with Jersey roots we could ask? If we could draw a national 2A supporter that would be even a bigger plus. But just asking, as one never knows. I really can't think of one a the moment. Don't hurt to ask. Sometimes its a small world.

  3. From the NYShooter blog on the 6.8............

6.8 SPC. Another design to deliver double or more than the 5.56 out of the same rifle, and it works really nicely. Unlike the 6.5 Grendel, it's mostly intended for 300 yards and less and does nicely out of 16" barrels, even shorter when needed.

It's basically a .270 (.277, actually but think .270 Winchester as the rifle round we all know) bullet in a .30-30 case with the case fitted to work in the AR15 action. What a nifty concept! 110/115 grain bullet standard, different ones available to tailor to different needs. Shoots easy but hits really hard like your usual deer blaster.

    Uses:

    A. Target and competition.

    B. Home and property defense. BIG advantage for those uses.

    C. Deer and wild boar (hog, pig, swine...) hunting. EXCELLENT for such purposes within 300 yards or so, very highy regarded by hunters who use it.

    D. Other uses common to .223/5.56 etc. within 300 yards.

I went with the 300 blackout. Same uses, but I feel more versatile platform.

  4. Reloading for the 7.62x39 is best done with AA1680 and 121-150 grain heads. If you find a source for Accurate Arms let me know. It is getting harder to find except at Cabelas or mail order.

Ruger bores have been measured at .308 to .311 depending on the years of manufacture. I have loaded both 308 and 311 boolits and found results similar. Normal reloading issues apply. From the Accurate Load Data Sheet 3.5 . YMMV

    AA1680 123 HDY SP 25.5 2,201 28.3 2,445 43,120 2.187

    AA1680 125 SIE SPT 24.3 2,160 27.0 2,400 45,190 2.165

    AA1680 150 SIE SPT 20.3 1,752 22.5 1,947 42,280 2.190

  5. Welcome to my world. Our P/T PD did the same thing back in the summer, said NJSP requested it. Now have to go to NJSP barracks to apply. Before the frenzy the waiting period was 4-6 months, asked why so long, said answer is Trenton is taking that long. There are not holding anything up. But, full time local PDs are issuing in the 1-3 month range. Strange, thats all I'm saying.

Before used to get P2P in 2-3 weeks.

  6. Try 27% on new complete guns and ammo. 15% Federal. 7% State 5% Infrastructure Tax.

    Keep taxing the little guy.

What the hell are you Democarts going to do when the little guy has no money left.

Pretty soon we will be like Massachuetts. Gun ownership down from 1.5 Million to around 250-300 thousand. And crime hasn't changed at all when compared to surrounding states.
