I still have two unused oem 15 round mags in the box which can't be found anymore

Ok my friend just check and the background check from the state hasn't come back yet. Seriously 45 days and nothing back. How is it others get there's in 2 weeks from the state . Unbelievable

I call Bravo Sierra on that one...online background check from the state gets back to the local PD the same day. I pick up the paperwork and fill it all out in the lobby, first thing i do is the online check from my phone, by the time i fill everything else out and hand it all in they tell me "we already got the info from the state" lol

BTW if the dealer enters something wrong the nics unit will delay. they use to call us and ask for the correct info. If it was wrong and the dealer does not call the nics unit they will deny the nics check.
Ask the dealer to call nics and see if this was a typo issue or a real nics denial
Ok but that still doesn't away from the fact that someone can become prohibited during the process.

On a serious note, could anything have happened right around the purchase of the gun that could have made you prohibited? Domestic altercation? Suspended DL? Anything?

FYI if anyone who regularly comes to Oaks and is used to taking the turnpike to exit 6...Listen to the GPS and take 7A...otherwise you'll have to go to exit 5 tackin on an extra half hour to the trip cause Exit 6 is closed... Don't ask me how I know this lol.

So let's say I was going to the Oaks Gun Show next weekend, I as an NJ rez couldn't buy a long gun from a private seller since I am not from PA? Or am I missing what you're saying (which is more than likely the case)
Exactly...you would have to go to one of the dealers and have then do a transfer.

What is better, going to my insurance or his? Can I seek anything for having to use a sick day? I assume no. Not looking to sue for pain and suffering or anything crazy likethat.
Also, my vehicle is going to be totaled. KBB has a market value of $2500 and the repairs will exceed that. Assuming I can buy it back for $1000 or less, is using a salvage title a bad thing?
Like already stated...NJ is a no fault state...you go through your insurance then your insurance will go after their insurance to recoup the funds.

FWIW - saving money on ammo wasn't/isn't a priority on my list when I started...Its something that I wanted to learn and my personality enjoys...getting lost in the garage for a few hours and seeing the final result is what I get out of reloading...the cost savings in the long run is an added bonus.

Thanks alot brother.... I had bought a bunch of the old ones over a year ago and just ordered more only to find out after weeks that they were on backorder. Thanks to your info I just cancelled and ordered a different brand. It's a shame because the old USA ones were a great product.
Which ones did you order? And I agree, the USA made ones were/are perfect and they had to go and mess with it.
You are approved by NICS and purchase rifle,then 4 days later get a phone call saying its denied and need to return gun. Now what?
