Passarella handled my case, or at least he is the only person I dealt with. Not sure if it changed after I turned in all my paperwork.

Got a call from Waterford TWP Police yesterday that my FID & permits are ready for pickup. Today is exactly 11 weeks.

Just an update. This Wednesday will be 11 weeks since I turned in all my completed paperwork. I asked how long the process would take & the SGT. stated that it should only be 5 weeks.... At the 6 week mark, I got a call from the SGT. saying that my mental health forms were "Lost" & that I would have to drop by & fill out two new ones. The new mental health forms were filled out & retuned the very next day & now I sit & wait again.... Should I be calling to check the on status or just wait patiently ?

Just started the process yesterday (07/05) in Waterford Twp.(Camden County). I was assigned a case number & picked up all my paperwork to be completed (Application, 2 Ref. Letters, Mental Health form, Firearms Auth. Release Form & Fingerprint Form). My fingerprinting is scheduled for 07/22 & when that is completed I have to make an appointment to see the SGT. that handles the FID applications. I will update as I go....

Wow! some very interesting reading! I actually know one of the cops is question, makes me sick! I had heard rumors before but never imagined that is was that bad.

I plan on checking out SJSC, I have shot a lot at the state reange on Piney Hollow right down the street. I have also shot a Square Circle quite a few times both Gun & bow.

My daughter is in the same dance class as Sgt. Passerello's daughter, maybe I will get some preferential treatment yeah right.... Guess it is a good thing I am a patient paerson.

Hello everyone, great forum you have here! I just found this place yesterday while trying to research the NJFID process. A little about me, I am 39 & have been living in Atco (Camden County) for about 12 years now. I have been bowhunting & fishing all my life & have recently decided to give gun hunting a go in the near future. I am about ready to put my paperwork in for my FID & then get a new shotgun. Anyone know how long Waterford twp police usually take ? I haven't been to the range in a while (few years) but I am looking forward to getting back out there! I learned to shoot in the Marine Corps & put a lot of rounds down range while going to Maritime CQB school.
