  1. Some would think it is also do to the massive pressure that is being put on all corporations to put their masks on and get vaxed  and do as they are told.  If that doesn't occur then they will be legally (and financially) harrassed and cancelled.  Additionally, they will not be able to function because they will be effectively cancelled by the financial institutions and will not be able to get credit or even be able to have their financial transactions processed such as when say Salesforce banned some gun companies.   Then there is the personal attacks that employees will be subjected to...  Remington is being used as a tool to bring about gun control.  It could even be that the new owners/managment aren't as concerned so much with the amount as with the end results because they are bought and paid for.

  2. Remington settles civil suit for 73 million that focused on Remington's targetting of young adults through video games, etc.  Remington caves even though it couldn't possibly be responsible for what that evil creature did?   Why isn't the FBI not held responsible?   Backdoor gun control?

All the politicians that let out violent criminals onto the streets need to be held accountable, then.

  3. MTG, Folks, a breath of fresh air in the stinky swamp!  I AM a big fan!  Contrast to the little swamp RINO  LG who I'm NOT a big fan of.  Thanks, Newsmax, and President Trump!  Take heed, Ted!  No NJ Koolaid, here.  Thanks, Georgia for THIS brave Congresswoman standing up for fellow Americans.

how long does the catalyst last, and what type of maintenance does it need? how often? mine's one of the secondary air types...but as i mentioned, i don't get more than 6'ish hours average.....

I would imagine that it would also last longer if you are burning seasoned, quality hard wood.

I've been following different gun forums for many years, but finally became a gun owner myself last year.

Here's the order of things that surprised me:

    1. That you actually need FPID/permits to buy guns in NJ. I thought that everywhere outside NYC, CA, etc. was a free country :D
    2. The price of guns. The last time I looked at AKs, WASR-10s were like $300 a piece. Good luck getting any AK under $1000 now.
    3. Ammo: you need lots of it, it's hard to find (maybe special circumstance), and owning too many different calibers is a PITA.
    4. Many of the guns I thought I liked for the last ~10-15 years weren't what I actually ended up buying.
    5. Huge reality shift: lots of time thinking strategically about gun storage and access for home defense.
    6. People bringing kids to gun stores. I understand kids need to learn gun safety and parents might not have a choice, but it still weirded me out.

(off on a tangent)  #6...  When my children were little I used to bring them to Home Depot and Shop Rite and walk around for what seemed like hours to them when they missbehaved.   All I had to do was say, we are going to Home Depot and they seemed to reconsider the undesirable behaviour.  They never seemed to mind going to the local firearms store or a gunshow, though;  that was a treat!    I fondly remembered the Milsurp Gear and big, soft pretzels with mustard when I was a kid at the shows.

I have a Vermont Castings stove.  It will heat the whole house keeping it around 70 degrees even if the outside temperature is below zero.  I've had the stove for over 20 years and use about 2 cords during the winter.

I was looking at a Vermont Castings Encore or Defiant.  They seem to be required to have catalytic converters.   I will have to investigate what is legal, especially since  I was considering finding an older, used stove.  I definitely will have to check into the local codes as  I would imagine a permit is necessary.   I want to use my existing fireplace chimney with the stove out on the floor.  The ambience of glass doors so you can see the fire would be a plus as well.  Good suggestion, Mr. Stu.  I will have to checkout Lowes options and since I don't have any usable hardwood it might be better to wait until the end of the season.

  7. Wow, love the topic of this thread.

Theoretical Model as a New Parent:

I was surprised when the Mrs. thought she was going to decide whether or not Ruger and Smith were being adopted and how hard and how long the adoption process actually was with permits required 9 month 30 day waiting periods, twins and triplets not allowed, background check copay, etc.   I was also surprised when the sticker price seemed like it was roughly only about 50% of the total initial cost and then that I hadn't adequately planned for the cost to feed it for the next 18 or so years.   Then much to my surprise  I realized with the family growing I needed a bigger house.  But what surprised me the most, initially, was when the inanimate object sat there securely for days, not a peep, days on end and didn't jump up on its own and start going off as a  rebellious teen.

Now, I have to wait weeks on end for visitation range rights.

Yeah, but most of that is contained in the 1A Lounge, which comes with a disclaimer, and requires a SECOND login to access. Nobody is forced to go there, and lurkers can't access it or even see it.

So, if a reader takes the time to get in the 1A Lounge, after seeing all the disclaimers, they really don't have a leg to stand on and reason to complain.... They were warned.....

And, because of the politiicized world we live in, firearms and politics are irrevocably linked and 2nd Amendment supporters are never left alone.  There is a general comraderie with a persecuted group that can also see sometimes more clearly  the tyranny surfacing in other (all) areas such as the questionable vaccine/bioweapons or perhaps censorship, etc.   Still, there is plenty for everyone on here that is strictly firearms related.   It is refreshing that the dialogue isn't completely controlled here.  I give kudos to Maks and his staff.   Not to step on Krdshks toes, but Mrs. P, you are the best mod ever!

    Hope Pizza Bob is OK.

so i just read an article on things she said in ga is that what this is all in reference to?

No , Anthony said he wasn’t a big fan.   She is for the 2nd Amendment  and a patriot and standing up for the people while attacked by the corporate globalist elitist media. I just wondered why he said that on his platform which I sometimes listen to.

  10. Mr. GFH, what is the issue with Taylor Greene?  Just the fact that the Left and its corporate media is trying to silence her says it all.

what exactly aren’t you a fan of?  How do you feel about her standing up for the political prisoners?
