  1. yeah i play similar to Vlad. I dont camp, but i take my time and certainly try to use tactics a little more. Ahh the good old days of Counter Strike!

Contemplating on picking up BF3 for the PC now...

Oh yeah im on like level 6 lol, i only play a few days a week if i am lucky.

  2. No, you are right, it is essentially the same thing. You are not missing anything. It is other people who are missing things, mainly the simple concept that NJ laws can only govern things in, you know, NJ. A tough concept to grasp apparently.

i dont think that its that tough to grasp, the issue is UNTIL you reach the boarder, you ARE STILL IN NJ.

I do agree with what the majority have said now tho and am confident when traveling to PA.

  3. Can anyone suggest a decent quality electric razor that isnt $150+? I have been using a $40 target one (I think its Norelco) for about 2 years or so and it was decent for a while but its definitely gotten dull in the last few months and now it takes me like 20 mins to shave.

I dont mind spending more then what I did on the current one but i know these things can also get very expensive. Any one have any suggestions or recommendations?

  4. "Notwithstanding any other provision of any law or any rule or regulation of a State or any political subdivision thereof, any person who is not otherwise prohibited by this chapter from transporting, ...... from any place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm if, during such transportation the firearm is unloaded, and neither the firearm nor any ammunition being transported is readily accessible or is directly accessible from the passenger compartment of such transporting vehicle: Provided, That in the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver’s compartment the firearm or ammunition shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console."

This can be found in Title 18, Part I, Chapter 44, Section 926A

the part i bolded would create an issue tho...

  5. Ok, then your on your way to a competition in Nevada or pick a state. Actually you could be going to the rage in PA and your going to be in PA for a few days vacationing, no where does it say you have to leave during normal range operating hours and return right away.

I do understand you don't want to do anything that will get you in trouble, and the worst part of it, restricted people that don't care about the laws and get caught may get a slap on the wrist in comparison to what us legal firearms owners would get if we did something wrong, but the truth of the matter is we need to stop making up rules and laws that don't exist and living in fear of owning firearms that are our right to own.

very true, good point. and i completely agree with you!

Your going to be shooting at a friends house. That is legal in PA.

Also, I didn't mean to imply that you didn't search. I meant maybe you would get more answers quicker. I am not a search nazi guy.

another good point! sorry if i came back sounding defensive.

  6. I have a Florida CCW. Big question is as follows: is being able to legally carry in PA a reason to be able to legally transport locked and unloaded in the trunk until I reach Pennsylvania?

I know state law says you have to be going to/from the range, home, place of work but what about traveling somewhere?

I also realize there is a federal law on the books allowing transportation to and from places you are legally allowed to have the weapon. Does this federal law supersede the state law? And if so, can anyone point out the law so I can print it and leave it with the gun?

Any help at all would be great!

I also plan on getting one of these:

for the car while transporting, and if we end up somewhere that i cannot carry...

  7. The gas block is on the upper itself. The Front flip that I have mounts on the low profile gas block and is a taller sight so that it lines up properly with the rear sight.

As for co-witness - that's really your preference. Some people prefer full co-witness, some people prefer lower 1/3 co-witnes, some people don't want it at all.

I like full co-witness as I keep my Vortex SPARC mounted on my AR all the time. However - if the battery runs out, I can flip up the sights and look through the center as I do normally.

this is exactly what i want. full co-witness if needed...

    thank you for the info!

Mind sharing a pic of your rifle?

also, how do you like that sight? I really like the compact Eotech that takes the CR123 batteries but its so damn expensive..

  8. Thanks for the input. How exactly would i go about making sure the back up sights and red dot will co-witness? Also if i mount the flip up directly to a low profile block, it will line up with a sight on the rail?

  9. So it seems if i get a gas block with the upper rail I can use that for a front flip up sight, and that will or should line up with a rear flip up, correct? My plan is to use a red dot with back up flip sights.

Also, what the hell is a delta pack? it seems like an end cap of some sort? sorry for the noob questions, but everyone here has alway been so helpful!

Im attempting my 1st AR build here and want to go with a short barrel and fairly light weight. So that would be a 14.5 in w/ break on the end resulting in a 16in total lengh barrel.. thats all good right, as long as the total length is 16?

  10. i got there at 830 this morning. hour wait on the rifle range so i went on the pistol range for an hour until they called my name. it was VERY busy today tho no doubt. even the pistol range had a wait later on it looked like.

  11. put 125 rounds through it, not one issue to report. 100 speer lawman FMJ and 25 Winchester JHP white box. Seems like they made good on the warranty work. The Hogue grip with the grip extension on the mag made the gun MUCH MUCH more pleasant to shoot.

  12. just an update. Went to the fedex hub today to pick it up..

according to the service order in the box they replace the slide with a completely new one along with the recoil spring and guide rod. They also said they put 20 flawless round through it. Ill be at dix 1st thing in the morning trying it out.

I also put a hogue mini grip on it and pierce grip extension on the mag, love the way it feels now. The stock grip was kind of rigid.

  13. good luck sir. Went to the fedex hub to pick mine up today. Kahr replaced the slide, recoil spring and guide. going to dix tomorrow to see if the warranty work did the trick!

    where you taking yours??
