a little confused here, what about the whole directly to and from a range, exempted location? Most direct route, ect. ect.
that is for a handgun.
For a long gun as long as its unloaded in the trunk you are good to go if you have a FID

^ Exactly why I said HELL NO to townhomes/condos/associated neighborhoods when we were house shopping. screw that!
-
lol^ I was wondering what the difference was....

Ahh drilling a hole for an air vent is a good idea... Is there any specific area to do it, or a valve that you should use as well? Those new cans def do not pour well at all with no vent..

Nothing like 105 octane non-enthanol gas!

I use 5 gal gas cans. Re-fill every year and add stabil at 6 months... I have 4 5 gallon cans, 2 2gal cans and a 1 gal can. The 5 gallon and 2 gallon cans are filled with regular gas, then I use the 1 gal can for my 2 stroke mix. All of the gas is used for the genny if needed and landscaping stuff. I just dump what doesnt get used after a year in the cars and start over...
So I usually have about 20gal or so on hand if needed..

My Shield is my favorite pistol. I know it doesnt answer your question, but it really is the perfect carry gun for me. Im not very large (5'10, 170lbs) and it being only about an inch wide makes it perfect. It shoots like a blessing as well (mine is a 9mm)
Maybe see if anyone wants to trade? Or keep the M&Pc since you already have the conversion for it and just pick up a Shield to go with it...

yeah its certainly not necessary, but makes loading a whole lot easier and more enjoyable. Load a few hundred rounds on a really cold day with and without and and you will want to use it 100 out of 100 times. Its silly not to. I dont get it.

No issues here, 223, 556, 9mm and .40s&W

Yes I am aware that i would only be allowed to use an electric motor.

Most sites submit the form via email I believe so they should have gotten your inquiry set directly to their email. Maybe there was some error or it went into their junk box. Why dont you call for a quote and mention it to them, maybe they arent aware of the issue at all!

Interesting thread. What about you guys that use the boat pretty much just in fresh water...? I live right around the corner from Manasquan Resovoir, i always think about picking up a smaller center console bass boat. There is one for sale down the street from me for like $1700.. Still a lot of the same salt-water problems?

I keep a solar charger handy for my ipad because i have created a pdf library of skills and information that would be helpful if not neccessary in a SHTF situation. Everything from food, medical, gardening, power, shleters, survival, maps and anything i can find that could help. Short of an emp it gives me a wealth of info in a tiny portable package. Knwlege is power!
care to share the PDFs?

This thread is making me want to build another AR. Maybe ill just get a 2nd upper and use the same lower...

You got me. I remember reading about it when we 1st moved here 2 yrs ago. I knew it wasnt enough to shoot on my own prop so i left it at that. 450 feet actually isnt much at all, there are prob a lot of places that would work for.

No, it would have to be on a really large piece of property, maybe a farm or something to meet the requirements for being away from any building... I have never tried to find a property of such nature, but they certainly exist around town as there are some really huge farms in Howell.

This inspired me to make an attempt to go this weekend. Havent shot in months!

Also, i dont think we have a no-discharge ordinance. You do have to be a certain number of feet from any building, i want to say a few thousand, but none-the-less that is an additional plus for the town as well!

Maybe it was more of a friendly conversation and he took it the wrong way? who knows...

I know our taxes suck. I think they bought that building on rt9 for like 20million? There is our tax money right there.
To top it off i got fined for our basketball net at the end of the driveway! They gave me 5 days to move it and it just so happened i didnt open the mail all week b.c I had the flu and by the time i opened the mail there was a 2nd notice saying i never moved it and i HAVE to go to court.
RAGE!

Howell is fast and friendly. There is only one woman that does the paperwork on a regular basis. I have never had an issue with questions, illegal questions, illegall additional information or any issues ither than the standard more than 30 days wait. 10 years, zero problems. Did he go to the old station by the library? I know they are moving a lot of the town offices to the huge complex on Rt.9 North across from where K mart .
the PD is still by the library, its city hall that they moved to Rt 9

By far the best town i have ever delt with. about 3 weeks to get mine, that was in 2012... I have delt with 4 different towns now, Howell is awesome! The older woman i spoke with at the window at the time was really friendly and seemingly pro-gun.

Will the range hold one of YOUR guns there for you so you can shoot it at lunch time?
Driving around w/ pistol caliber carbine in trunk?

Keeping is different from having it with you while you are there IMO. Arent you supposed to have your firarms under YOUR control? Thats why im confused about the issue with your car. Its one thing to leave it in there while driving, but to park your car for hours and leave it in the trunk? I think thats pretty risky, but im honestly not sure if any part of the law would have a effect in the legality of that situation.
Maybe if you brought it to work then took it with you when you left it would be ok, but i dont know about leaving it there even when you are not present.
