  1. i'm hoping to hear from some of our "statute geeks". i use that term in a good way, 'cause they seem to know them inside and out. from my understanding, we're not allowed(i friggin hate using that term re this stuff) to have our firearms outside of exemptions. for pistols, my understanding of that, is the range, gunsmith, home, or our fixed place of business, along with direct route to/from those exempted locations. parents home isn't in that list of exemptions. even with their permission.

The exemption would be it is his second residence.

I don't buy it for a lot of reasons.

it is reddit can't take it to seriously but a possible mock situation to pick apart.

  2. This is what I thought...it seemed to me like it's risky to try and establish a parents house as alternate residency. Where is the line drawn? Why not argue that any relative or close friend's property is an alternate residency?

It depends on how far the issue wants to be pushed.  Me and my S/O are fighting and I have been crashing at X's place the past few nights could be a reasonable situation. The person who owns the house would have to back you up as well.  I'm not saying to do this just that NJ law is ambiguous so were can all freely interpret it our own way.  I believe if you have belongings there or a drawer/shelf of personal items that it constitutes residency (not a lawyer please correct me if I am wrong).

  3. ESS makes great safety glass, expensive but do come with a MOLLE case.  I wear these for work in goggle and sunglass form.

You might be able to order just the case if you call them.  Their customer service is great for when I had to deal with them.

ETA: found a direct link still has the molle backing

  4. His attorney's argument is pretty thin. He's charged with possession, not use.

It would be like arguing that because I don't get high,I can't possess drugs.

The argument seems to be since he was charged with possession, he can't actually take physical control of the object due to a medical condition therefor making him not in possession.  Pretty flimsy but it could work.  I'm not aware of prior case law dealing with possessing objects when you can't.

As for everyone else in the car saying its not his.  Tough luck, its one person's gun or all four.  On the positive side its a felony charge so if it goes to court I'm sure it will get dismissed as one sympathetic juror will go for not guilty based on the medical condition.

  5. Spoke with someone yesterday who speculated that the entire final scene was a dream Carol had in her coma.  Now I'll admit that sounds a bit far-fetched, but as I thought about, I began to wonder just how Carol was able to be walking around normally, despite having been seriously injured by a car a day or two earlier.  Checked TWD forums and saw nothing on this.  Anyone think it's plausible?

If you saw the Talking Dead interview afterwards, you would see how upset Emily was.  I think if she knew she was going to be back, as a regular, she wouldn't have been that choked up.   :(

Agreed, plus someone mentioned she didn't renew her apartment lease or something like that.

  6. Welcome to the community!  South Jersey has some good ranges, just depends on how far you are willing to drive.  South Jersey Shooting Club (Winslow) is nice.  I went to USANA once as a guest and it was decent.  I've heard great things about Quinton Sportsmen's Club in Salem County and Mullica Hill Rifle and Pistol Club (55 South past the end of it.)  I've been to Bob's Little Sport Shop in Glassboro, they have an indoor range that that can get the job done if you only have handguns.

  7. Dicks is kind of a pain because they never seem to have the safes in stock so you end up paying for shipping. I have a full size pickup and can get a couple of friends to help if needed so to save $150 -175 delivery fee I have no problem picking up the safe myself...

Dicks you can order on-line and ship to store for free. When you pick it up they will put it in your truck for you. That's how I did it.  Also me and a friend moved the 32+6 gun safe our selves, we had a hand truck do most of the work.

  8. The prices you quote are different then the ones I just looked up, so who knows. The 32 is $699. right now and the 24 is $549. They do have some crazy high prices crossed out on their website but those must be MSRP and no one has ever paid those prices I hope!

I used the greyed out MSRP prices, though they may have been specific to the store closest to me.
