Not sure if you guys that are interested in de oc know about deloc.org .. I joined after stumbling across it through a google search due of my interest in their oc policy as im 5 mins from there and work and do everything but sleep in de...Basically its a site/forum about de open carry....a great source for the hard facts...and some pretty interesting reading...especially the members "daily oc logs"....living in prnj my whole life it's still hard for me to grasp the concept of this "2a" I keep hearing about...lol .....but I've been thouroughly reading and asking the specifics on my ability to oc as a nj resident in de... And its no different than a de resident same rules apply.... Basically the main no carry zones are gun free school zones(like drug free school zones)...govt buildings of any sort...state parks(although some are becoming legal)....the city of wilmington(where you need one most lol) ....And a few others but all the info you need can be found there on the laws.....and as here there's a multitude of helpful people with the same interest willing to answer questions...they even have a thread on the establishments that are pro and not pro oc ....ive purchased my owb holster and will soon begin to oc while in de.....I'm just trying to look for the "fine print" before I do...just seems too good to be true...lol

1. initial fid card and 3 pistol permits 2. pennsville police department 3. lt. allen cummings 4. dropped off completed forms 1/9/12...fingerprinted by morphotrak 1/10/12....was called on 1/20 that my id card and 3 permits were ready to be picked up....so 10 from fingerprinting to picking up permits...counting weekends and mlk bday... 5. 5 pages ...1.fid application 2. mental health/hipaa form 3.employment verification form 4&5. 2 personal reference forms all included in application packet and i filled out/got filled out by references/employer and turned in together 6. no problems or calls from pd aside from the one letting me know they were ready.....all the officers i came into contact with were friendly, courteous, helpful....very positive experience

hello all...have been reading through this site several months now...but just joined after receiving my fid and 3 pp's last monday. I was a little worried reading on this and a couple other sites of the problems/obscene times people have had to wait to get their applications processed....i was pleasantly surprised that in my case ..i dropped off completed paperwork on 1/9/12 ...called morphotrak that day and scheduled fingerprints for 1/10 then got a call from the pd that my id card and pp's were ready to be picked up on 1/20 ! I couldnt believe it ....10 days from fingerprinting thats counting weekends and mlk bday...look forward to absorbing all the knowledge on this site!
