  1. Rainbow make a very good vac, but you have to mess with the dirty water WAY too much. wherever you throw it outside will build up pretty quick, that on top of having to clean the bowl every time you use it. for that alone I can not recommend it.

Kirby has a pretty good vacuum, but you are paying a premium for the name, it is no better on messes then a kenmore upright.

After spending a couple grand on just those two, I bought a couple cheap vacuums. a Hoover Wind-tunnel, and a Kenmore upright, both did well and both were right around $200

My mom had picked up a Dyson and needed me to put it together for her.....I cannot say enough good things about it...i ended up buying a purple ball, and i bought a cordless purple too for the in between jobs. It hurt a little buying the upright (not as much as the Rainbow and Kirby), but it is well worth the money. like the others said look for it on sale or refurbished. We got our cordless from QVC not too long ago for a decent price.

  2. Celraysoda,

Sorry to hear about your dog, my wife and I went through a similar experience with 2 of our dogs. We had a Beagle mix who had nine wonderful years with that got cancer, we spent most of our life's savings on chemo Therapy/chemo pills for him. The Vet said he probably lived eight months longer because of it. A year later we went through the same think with our Golden Retriever and had to dip into our retirement funds. The Vet did not say how much time he thought was added to my dogs life with the treatments, but we didn't care, we knew his life was extended some.

Eight years has passed since my Golden has passed and looking back I wish I had never given either of them Chemo. I couldn't care less about the finances, it's the toll the Chemo took on my dogs. Both of them started getting very weak and lethargic. it got so bad I would have to hold my Beagle's back end up for him to stand. The Vet said neither was in pain, but I can still remember them looking into my eye's, it seemed they were both asking "WHY" why would we do this to them, why would we so selfishly make them endure more pain and suffering so me and my family could spend a little more time with them. As I wipe my tears away, the only advise I can give is..your dog will let you know what to do , please don't be as selfish as I was.

  3. I know I would be asking for too much, but I wish the Major Media would highlight this story.

A pregnant woman identified only as "Alex" was home alone when she found herself sharp-shooting for two. Burglars broke into her Palmview, Texas, house Saturday. Brothers Lucas and Jesus Ortiz were "high on unknown drugs" when they knocked on her door 20 minutes after her husband had left for work. Feeling something wasn't right, she grabbed the handgun her husband had trained her to use 7 months before, and was on the phone with 911 when they broke in. Finding her armed, they fled. She shot at their truck, hoping to tag it for police identification later. A SWAT team eventually negotiated with the burglars after they barricaded themselves in another nearby house, and Alex says she thanked her husband for buying the gun she had been against owning.

  4. I had one until just recently. GREAT Firearm. I had sellers remorse the night I let it go, and  I'm looking at picking up another in the near future.

  5.  People are willing to drop $2K+ on a single rifle but look for the absolute cheapest safe to house it in and that's just mind boggling to me.

I don't have 2k to drop on a rifle...I  don't even have 2k worth of stuff if you were to combine it all. with that said, I would rather have a safe that can be broken into with a fire axe (that they would have to bring with them), then to have my stuff just sitting in a closet with trigger locks. If I had plenty of cash, I would love to have an 1100lb safe, but it's just not feasible with my income.

as far as my birth certificate, passports and other important docs, I have a smaller "fire rated" safe.

  6. The story i was told from my Grandparents about this song.....and probably, most likely not.....but maybe true.....

My Grandparents were born and raised in the Mid-West, had 4 kids, one was a beautiful little green eyed girl named...you guessed it "Jolene". Families were very close, spending most of their spare time together. My Grandfather's Niece was dating a Country music Singer/Songwriter named Porter Wagner. Porter was doing a tour and one of the stops was near my Grandparents Farm in Illinois, and since his Niece was traveling with Porter at the time, they stopped by. My Mother was around 8 years old, and Porter fell in love with her (not like that you sickos). After that, he would stop by whenever he was touring near their farm.  A few years had passed and Porter was no longer dating my Grandfather's Niece, but continued to stop by/write, he had also befriended a budding Country Star named Dolly Parton. She had stopped by the farm once or twice and used to tease my Family saying how Porter would rather be there with them then on tour. The rest is history!

  7. Had another fantastic transaction with JT Custom Guns and Collectibles. Although this time was only for a transfer, I was treated with the same courtesy and respect as if I had just spent thousands. Jack took the time to go over the firearm, made sure I knew the basics , and answered all my questions. I cannot stress how great of an FFL Jack is, his in stock selection is good (and will find what you want if it's not in stock), prices are very good, and his service is second to none! Jack is straight forward, no high pressure sales pitch, no bait and switch, just upfront honesty. This is the reason I drive down the Parkway, on a Friday night at rush hour during the Summer. If you're in the market for a firearm, give him a call, you'll be glad that you did.

Thank you again Jack, I'll see you in a few weeks :D
