  1. Thanks Jack,

Just picked up my newest Family member, and as always the service and hospitality was second to none. JT Customs did not have the exact firearm I was looking for in stock, but took the time to find Brand, style and size I wanted. If you're in the market, or think you may be soon, give Jack a call. Thanks again Jack, see you in 31 days!

  2. If you don't mind a bit of a drive.....When my wife and I were engaged, we bought a house. We each had bedroom furniture from growing up, but nothing else. Her father found a furniture shop in Elizabeth, when he entered the guy told him this was just an office and the showroom was really at the warehouse, near the port. My father-in-law called us up, we hopped in the truck and went to the warehouse. Everything was Ashley and brand new, but some of the floor models look like they were there for a while. We picked out a living room set-couch and loveseat, but my Wife (fiance) decided she wanted an oversize chair instead, then decided she wanted 2 chairs, 3 glass tables (one coffee and 2 end) 2 lamps, and a solid wood kitchen table with 4 chairs. The couch was in stock, he special ordered the Chairs from the catalog, and we took the display model coffee, end tables, lamps and Kitchen set. the total was right around $1800 (which I was happy happier then a pig in $hi), but being the cheapskate I am, I made a cash offer of $1300,but I had to pay an extra $120 for delivery. So for under $1500 I have 2 Ashley furnished rooms for the price of 1 bargain store living room.

  3. I had the same type of greeting when I walk in. I looked around for about 10 minutes, no one even acknowledged I was there, another guy came in around the 10 minute mark, all three greeted him and was very friendly to him, so I left and spent my money elsewhere.  I don't need people to kiss my ass, but a simple "Hi or Hello" would have been nice. Never again will I ever try to spend money there.

  4. I got a box of "cheap" Remington target 230gr 45's for $27.99, Definitely not a deal, but I was able to pick up 2 boxes of PMC 38 special for $22 a box which is ok right now. The CCI 22lr was just over $3, but its only a 50 count.

I was just happy to see the shelves stocked, that plus NICS becoming instant again...Dare I say it....I think I see a little light at the end of the tunnel.

  5. They already hit my card for the cost of the upper. I've been emailing them and calling to find out if they shipped and why my card was charged. It's been almost a month now since I was charged and still no product and I haven't been able to get in touch with them.

Hopefully it's just an oversight, I've always been one to give the benefit of the doubt.

Ah ha...That my friend, is another story. In that case, I might just show up at their door if they don't want to get back to me!

  6. Didn't want to start a new thread, so.....I was at Heritage Guild in Branchburg today, they had ALL calibers in stock including .22lr, they had multiple brands of multiple calibers, they even had some 40 USMC mega packs. The down side is they are still limiting to 1 (some calibers 2) boxes per caliber.

  7. I've ordered from them before, super slow, I was told it was a two month wait, ended up being almost 5 months before I got my lower. They have very good prices and a very good product, but I would not order from them again unless I was in no hurry! As to the ones talking about filing complaints with the CC companies and BBB, I ask why? They don't charge your CC until they are ready to ship the product. Yes having to wait so long SUCKS, but there is noting illegal about it.

  8. If I pay online can I just go there, pick up my membership badge, and use the range? Does it cost money to use the ranges (in addition to membership fees)? If so, how much for pistol and rifle ranges?

If you pay online, you can print a temporary card and use it immediately, they will send you a  permanent one in the mail.

  9. I don't have one.....yet! But thanks to Pizza Bob for the heads up, I just bought a Nickel S&W model 10 over the phone, but because of the OGAM you all have to wait (like me) for about a month and a half to see it!

  10. My first, second, third......and so on are LONG gone. I never had any sentimental value attached to any of my firearms. It's just a silly emotion that is wasted on an inanimate object......Then my father gave me his first rifle. It is definitely not a museum piece or worth a lot (maybe $100), but I wouldn't give it up for anything. It's a JC Higgins model 42 (.22 S,L,LR). My father and Uncle saved up some Birthday Money and headed down to the local Sears and Roebuck and walked out with this. I am very lucky as my Parents are still alive, but there is connection  that I now hove to this Rifle that I cannot explain.

  11. Had another great experience with JT Custom Guns today. I cannot stress enough how laid back and down to earth Jack is. He has good prices, a nice selection of firearms, and will find exactly what you want if it's not in stock. I picked up a 1911 today, and have another one I will be picking up shortly. I drive just over an hour each way to do business with him, simply because he is the best. If you're in the market for a firearm, give him a call, you will not be disappointed. Thank you Jack, and please thank your wife again for the hospitality.  See you soon.

  12. I just got back from my first trip there. I was disturbed to see that they won't sell ammo to NY residents. Where is it written that they have to abide by NY laws? By that same logic, Cabela's should treat BP sales as firearms for NJ residents, instead of selling over the counter in accordance to PA law.

This is of great concern, because if the ammo sales reporting requirement passes into law here, they may not sell to us, either.

The other funny thing is, they won't sell C&R to NJ residents.

Been that way the last couple of Months. Sad when you think about it, My father was raised in Brooklyn, when he and my Uncle were younger, they used to ride the bus with .22's on their shoulders, now it seems taboo be even be associated with firearms there (and here).
